    Human Resources Officer

    Job Advert Summary    

    • Clover is currently recruiting for a Human Resources Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible to provide support and manage human resources processes at the branches. The position is based in Boksburg at the Atlas CDC branch. 

    Requirements    

    • National Diploma and/or Degree in Human Resources Management
    • Relevant experience in applying job-related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level
    • Computer literacy (Advanced)
    • Business English: Fluent
    • Travel off-site/overnight stay

    Duties and Responsibilities    
    Perform recruitment, selection and placement functions         

    • Assist line management in the appointment of personnel         
    • Ensure positions are budgeted and approved before filling        
    • Compile job advertisements on Neptune system      
    • Complete initial screening of candidates, conduct interviews and assessments        
    • Appoint personnel in line with set EE objectives and targets         
    • Process appointments via the Neptune system and complete take-on/promotional documentation        
    • Conduct and oversee on-boarding of new employees        

    Coordinate training and development process        

    • Obtain training and development needs         
    • Ensure accurate administration of all training interventions 
    • Provide logistical support in terms of training and development        
    • Report on training activities        
    • Present training on specific topics

    Assist in managing employee relations         

    • Provide support on employee relations matters         
    • Assist line management in establishing a positive branch climate and employee relationships         
    • Facilitate disciplinary hearings, grievances and ensure compliance with procedures 
    • Assist with CCMA matters         
    • Assist line management in resolving people issues 

    Facilitate performance management initiatives         

    • Assist management in determining people objectives         
    • Ensure performance discussions take place         
    • Assist management in addressing under-performers via ER processes

    Perform functions relating to HR Systems and Administration        

    • Ensure up to date knowledge and competency in terms of all HR systems        
    • Ensure all HR documentation is completed and updated as required        
    • Assist with system training programs where necessary
    • Escalate unresolved queries to the HR. System team
    • Manage the HR Admin processes for Atlas, Nelspruit and Polokwane branches
    • Support the Clover culture journey
    • Process death claims and temporary and/or permanent disability applications
    • Ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and group scheme requirements
    • Drive internal communication through Hello Clover

    Handyman

    Job Advert Summary    

    • Join the Clover team as a Handyman, where every fix keeps our operations running smoothly! The purpose of this role is to perform general maintenance and repair tasks to ensure that facilities, equipment, and work areas remain safe, functional, and in good condition.                                                                                                         

    Requirements    

    • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF4
    • Relevant experience in applying job-related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level 
    • Experience in working with senior management
    • Business English: Fluent
    • Work in extreme conditions
    • Basic tool experience

    Duties and Responsibilities    
    Perform elementary maintenance and repairs  

    • Receive job cards to complete scheduled work 
    • Receive parts from maintenance store 
    • Repair elementary electrical and mechanical tasks
    • Complete job card 
    • Preventative maintenance

    Ensure safe working conditions   

    • Ensure safety requirements are met 
    • Demarcate working areas where necessary 
    • Weekly fire pump and valve run together with documentation
    • Weekly generator run with documentation
    • Weekly doc levellers’ inspection with documentation  
    • Ladder inspections
    • Weekly racking inspection
    • Concrete floor and bollard repairs
    • Boiler making tasks – Build the safety cages used for stock take
    • Inspecting and testing of the 380V truck plugs
    • Oversee ammonia plant and coordinate with EP for additional repairs outside of the SLA
    • Lease with contractors on site when necessary
