    Butchery Blockman (Mahikeng)

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 will be an advantage.
    • Knowledge of meat preparation techniques and cuts.
    • Relevant experience in a retail environment.
    • Relevant tertiary qualification will be an advantage.
    • Effective communication.
    • Ability to perform under pressure.
    • Characteristics such as integrity, honesty and reliability.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Stock management and quality control.
    • Maintain Health and Safety Requirements
    • Maintain clean and tidy butchery areas & meat display fridge.
    • Ensure correct weight and pricing.
    • Pleasantly deal with customers to ensure satisfaction.
    • Manage and work towards sales targets.
    • Ensure optimal sales, marketing and customer service.
    • Assist with stock takes as required.
    • Carry out any reasonable instruction given by the manager or supervisor

    Operator - Forklift (Mahikeng)

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate is essential.
    • Valid forklift licence.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a forklift.
    • Extensive knowledge of operating forklift efficiently.
    • Pay attention to details/surroundings.
    • Knowledge of completing checklist and grasping the importance thereof.
    • Knowledge of state health and safety regulations for landscaping.
    • The ability to carefully lift and transport heavy objects.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Following safety protocols and procedures.
    • Stacking and moving pallets as per SOP’s.
    • Transporting materials between different locations within the department.
    • Performing routine checks and Maintenance checks of the forklift (as per checklists).
    • Inspect the Forklift (as per checklists).
    • Load and unload trucks timeously.
    • Adhering to safety rules and regulations.
    • Identify hazards and check damaged goods.
    • Report any incidents to management.
    • Assist with general tasks around the store when not driving the forklift.

    Butchery General Worker (Mahikeng)

    Minimum Requirements

    • Maintain clean and tidy butchery area & meat display fridge, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene policies.
    • Maintain good personal hygiene while working/preparing meat and meat related items.
    • Manage the day-to-day cleaning of the production areas, fridges, freezers and chiller.
    • Correct weighing and pricing of the products.
    • Operating the pricing scale and price meat products.
    • Ensure that all meat that has been cut or processed is fresh and well packed.
    • Pack meat into retail or bulk packaging for further sales.
    • Pleasantly deal with customers to ensure satisfaction and assist all customers with their requirements.
    • Assist customers with product selection.
    • Partake in stock takes as required.
    • Carry out any reasonable instruction given to you by management or supervisor.

    Assistant Manager (Mahikeng)

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 will be essential.
    • Computer literacy.

    • Assisting in the implementation and enforcement of the store policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations and compliance with the standards.
    • Administrative tasks such as Daily Cash Up, GRV’s, Purchase Orders etc.
    • Ensuring that the store environment is clean, organized and safe for both customers and employees, according to Health & Safety protocols.
    • Assist managing both the Henwil Chickens Retail Store as well as the Galito’s section.
