    Laundry Assistant -City Hospital

    KEY PEFORMANCE AREAS

    • Ensure that all in-house laundry is washed and dried properly and completed timeously.
    • Ensure that laundry is collected from the wards and that clean laundry is distributed to the wards in a timely manner.
    • Ensure that the counting of clean laundry is done accurately and matches the corresponding paperwork.
    • Ensure that all paperwork related to outsourced laundry is completed accurately.
    • Ensure that the handover of dirty linen and the receiving of clean linen are conducted in a professional manner.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 12 certificate.
    • Preferably some experience within a laundry environment.
    • Preferably have knowledge of and experience with machinery used in a laundry environment.
    • This position requires working shifts, including night shifts.
    • Must be prepared to work weekends.

    Technical Officer - Re-advertised

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Must be able to prioritise works requests.
    • Responsible for the maintenance work in various fields.
    • Completion of all Administration work related to maintenance and repairs.
    • After hours stand by and call out responsibilities.
    • Will have to within reason assist in general maintenance requirements.
    • Responsible for the maintenance of the air-conditioning systems within the business
    • Generator and sprinkler: weekly tested and daily checks for leaks or anything abnormal
    • Medical vacuum: Daily checks ensuring pumps are running with no leaks detected

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    (Educational Qualifications & Experience)

    • Grade 12 Certificate
    • National Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
    • Must be computer literate.
    • Ability to deal with staff within the hospital.
    • Valid drivers licence.
    • The ideal candidate must have the willingness to assume job ownership, work independently and apply principles of continuous improvement.
    • Experience in Air-conditioning
    • Must have at least 3-5 years hands on experience in the field. Experience with chiller systems will be an advantage.
    • Experience within a Hospital environment will be an added advantage.
    • Someone who takes pride in the quality of workmanship and finishes.
    • Sound knowledge in respect of OHASA requirements.

    Surgical Stores Buyer

    PURPOSE OF POSITION

    • Provide support to the Pharmacy Manager by handling month-end reporting and variance queries, auditing invoices and transactions, ensuring adequate stock levels, liaising with suppliers, and assisting with additional tasks as needed.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Manage surgical procurement by placing orders online and telephonically with suppliers.
    • Source and borrow urgent stock from other hospitals when required.
    • Coordinate the transport of stock from other hospitals to ensure timely delivery.
    • Issue and maintain out-of-stock notifications promptly when items are unavailable.
    • Supervise surgical stores staff and delegate tasks effectively.
    • Liaise with company representatives to negotiate competitive pricing and explore new product options.
    • Verify and sign for all goods received from suppliers.
    • Oversee and assist with monthly stock take, ensuring accurate counts.
    • Ensure all to follow items are prioritized, processed, and delivered promptly to the wards or theatre.
    • Authorize and process stock transfers to other hospitals within the group as requested.
    • Reconcile invoices with original purchase orders to ensure accuracy.
    • Investigate and resolve any stock variances in a timely manner.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Must have Grade 12 qualification.
    • Must be computer literate
    • Preferably a certificate in business administration
    • Preferably DELTA 9 knowledge
    • Experience in managing the purchase of surgical instruments, devices, and other medical supplies
    • Must have at least 5 years of surgical buying experience.
