    Quality Control Case Manager

    Main Focus Areas

    • The incumbent will be responsible for the liaison between the patient and medical aids in order to secure payment for the hospital.

    Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

    • Ensuring efficient management of a very complexed department
    • All IR management to be handled efficiently
    • Liaise network of internal and external stakeholders to ensure that managed care of patients is maintained
    • Monitor and control costs for Managed Care Organization patients
    • Confirm length of stay for all Managed Care Organizations patients
    • Ensure correct coding is applied for all Managed Care Organization patients
    • Assisting Clinicians and all Allied facilities with account queries
    • Complying with governance and risk management requirements by ensuring to patient services policies and procedures.
    • Ensuring correct application of ARM agreements on patient accounts
    • Building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders
    • Ensuring effective management of real time clinical updates, including requests, responses, rejections and submissions
    • Ensuring effective Communication regarding funder requirements / responses to attending clinicians and patients where necessary compliance with industry standards
    • Meeting targets of monthly cash collections / maintaining of DNYB days on 5 days and below.

    Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)

    • B Degree Nursing Qualification or equivalent NQF level 6
    • 3 years patient care experience and Case management will be an advantage
    • Previous ICU / HC Case management experience will be an advantage
    • Understanding of clinical coding, funder rules – advance coding an advantage
    • Nursing policies and procedures
    • SAP Experience preferably
    • Must be available to work overtime where required
    • Advanced Computer Literacy will be an advantage
    • Good communication skills
    • Good customer responsiveness
    • Good time management skills
    • Need to be able to work under pressure

    Admissions Clerk

    Main Focus Areas

    • The incumbent will be responsible for the liaison between the patient and medical aids in order to secure payment for the hospital.

    Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

    • Responsible for the admissions of casualty at Trauma and in patients at the main reception.
    • To ensure that all documents for admissions are received and copied (Doctors note, ID , Medical Aid Card)
    • To obtain and confirm authorisations with medical aids for the patients.
    • Ensure that the ICD codes are entered on the patients profile on the system
    • Ensure that the admission forms are on a daily basis for accuracy.
    • To print patient labels and admission forms for the wards on a daily basis.
    • To bill for medication at Trauma for private Casualty patients.
    • To discharge patients and bill accommodation on a daily basis.
    • Responsible for payments (deposits/general ) are collected and posted correctly.
    • To assist patients with the completion of forms requesting the hospital files and the receipt of payment thereof.

    Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)

    • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 Qualification
    • Previous admin experience in a medical environment, advantageous
    • Ability to remain calm and focused in emergency situations
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Computer Literacy
    • Flexible in working hours/Shifts

    SPH Ward Administrator

    Main Focus Areas

    • The incumbent will have a dual role which involves stock control, billing and secretarial duties in the ward and also assisting the ward staff and the Unit Manager as may be necessary within reason.

    Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

    • Ensure tasks are completed within specified timeframes. Eg: daily billings in the morning
    • Checking of stock daily
    • Being responsible for stock
    • Doing monthly cyclical stock count
    • Compile discharge files and send timeously to billings
    • Be responsible and accountable for stock in the ward
    • Displays accuracy and attention to detail
    • Responsible for ensuring that a reliable paper trail exists for all stock used - Ensure timeous and accurate daily billing of stock used.
    • Responsible for Equipment, maintenance and stationery requisitions & control of linen
    • Measure Conduct cyclical counts for inventory purposes and be involved in quarterly Stock takes
    • Assist with any ad hoc duties assigned by the Pharmacy Manager/Billings Supervisor or Unit manager.
    • And evaluate stock activity levels for stock and re-ordering purposes

    Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)

    • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 Qualification
    • 2-3 years Hospital experience preferable.
    • SAP experience preferable
    • Advanced computer literacy
    • Able to work long hours and shifts

    SPH - Registered Nurse Theatre Experienced

    Main Focus Areas

    • The Registered Nurse will render and promote cost effective, safe quality patient care in accordance with hospital standards and policies and will further be responsible for direct and/or indirect nursing care of a patient or a group of patients, for assessing, planning, executing and supervising the implementation of care to meet patient needs.

    Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

    • Practice patient care according to the Scope of Practice and assume total responsibility for these activities Contribute to the holistic care of patients Attend handover of report at shift commencement Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care Promote patient of health and wellbeing Audit of health records to ensure compliance Ensure all stock is well controlled and managed, charged and credited appropriately Promote and maintain good public relations with patients, relatives and visitors

    Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)

    • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse or equivalent NQF 7 qualification Relevant qualification and 2 years experience in the specialist area – Theatre Previous experience within a Theatre Operating environment essential Advanced Computer Literacy Flexible in working hours/Shifts Capacity to implement and maintain standards of health practice required from all accredited bodies and appropriate health legislation.

    RHHC Night Nurse Manager

    Main Focus Areas

    • The Night Nurse Manager will be responsible for the Clinical Nursing Management of the hospital at night. This includes the co-ordination of all functions and activities related to the provision, promotion and assurance of clinical patient care, via the leadership of a multidisciplinary team in consultation with all relevant stakeholders

    Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

    • Manage the allocated nursing budget at night
    • Understand the financial fundamentals of the health care industry
    • Identify areas to improve operational efficiencies to ensure sustainability and growth of the business
    • Ensure that you provide safe, cost effective quality patient care in line with the clinical governance strategy of Lenmed / hospital and evidence based practice
    • Evaluate nursing quality indicators and clinical outcomes
    • Promote health and wellbeing of patients and employees
    • Ensure the principles of infection prevention and all standard precautions are adhered to
    • Implement group quality initiatives

    • A relevant nursing qualification ( B Cur Degree/ or relevant management qualification)
    • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse
    • Compliance with the SANC code for a Registered Nurse and all applicable health care legislations
    • An intermediate level of Computer proficiency
    • Ensure Clinical Expertise within your specialty
    • Advanced Computer Literacy

    RHHC Infection Control Coordinator

    Main Focus Areas

    • The Infection Control Coordinator will be responsible to plan, develop and implement an infection control programme for the hospital using  infection control standards and international best practice

    Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

    • Aid and assist all hospital employees in managing the prevention, identification and control of infections in patients and employees
    • Plan, develop and implement an infection control programme in keeping with the updated infection control standards
    • Notify the Department of Health timeously of diseases where applicable
    • Organise regular infection control and health and safety committee meetings and document the proceedings
    • Maintain an up to date infection control file that is available and accessible to all nursing and house-keeping staff
    • Ensure the adherence / supervision of protective clothing for all employees and members of the public when needed

    • A relevant nursing qualification ( B Cur Degree/ or relevant management qualification)
    • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse
