Key Performance Areas:

• Feed and remove parts from press and ensure quality parts are produced
• Routinely check and clean weld tips in accordance with work instructions
• Ensure parts are correctly loaded and clamped
• Report any non-conformances to the team leaders.
• Remove scrap parts and off – cuts during production
• Verify and inspect parts for defects visually
• Assist with tool changes
• Comply to safety health and environmental work instructions and follow lock out procedure
• Ensure clean working environment and production equipment (House Keeping)
• Participate actively in the departmental M2S system as per company requirement, workplace organisation and autonomous maintenance.
• Follow any reasonable instructions by Team Leader or Manager that is in your capabilities.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent Welding Certificate
• Minimum 1 year spot welding
• Minimum 3 years welding experience within an automotive environment
• Minimum 1 year experience in Assembly jigs.

Key Performance Areas:

• Experience Toolmaker in large skin panels and structural parts
• Problem solving experience on the Press line for tooling related issues.
• Skin panel experience to understand the tool dominated defects
• TIG Welding experience & cutting clearance optimization
• Experience in Draw Tool stabilization & formability proving
• Must have worked in a Press shop with Automated Press lines started from lead press 200T & 1600T

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 and NQF Level 5 qualification
• Qualified Tool and Jig Maker
• Minimum 4 years’ experience as Toolmaker within automotive environment
• Minimum 4 years tool, jig and die repair experience

Key performance Area:

• Quality systems and concepts
• Manufacturing processes
• Customer specific requirements understanding of a measuring report (robotic assembly of steel and aluminium automotive components)
• Core Tool: FMEA, SPS, MSA, Control plans and six sigma Green Belt

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12/ NQF level 4
• National Diploma in a relevant Engineering qualification
• Tertiary qualification in TQM
• Qualified Toolmaker/ Millwright will be an advantage
• Minimum 5 years of quality experience in automotive
• Minimum 3 years manufacturing experience in automotive
• Minimum 3 years working experience in the use of Quality Core Tools SPC, MSA, FMEA, Control plans and Six Sigma Green Belt
