    Packaging Technologist

    A day in the life of a Packaging Technologist:                                 

    New Product Development & Introduction:

    • Lead Packaging projects & trials at Factory level with focus on line performance, cost efficiency on time delivery, sustainability, and product quality.
    • Provide packaging input within the Nestle business units, proposing and evaluating best packaging alternatives for new products and improvements to existing products.
    • Organise  and document factory trials including machinability, shelf-life, storage handling, laboratory and transport tests for validation of new packaging and changes in specifications.

    Nestle Continuous Excellence:

    • Conduct value analysis; identify and recommend cost improvements and source reduction opportunities.
    • Initiate (or participate in) problem solving, identification of business opportunities, and performance improvement exercises.
    • Be a guardian of packaging quality for products produced on factory lines.                

    Safety, Quality & Compliance:

    • Implement packaging related quality and compliance directives.
    • Drive quality improvements in our packaging.
    • Assist Factory QA to review packaging related on-line/off-line controls - to implement packaging monitoring plans.
    • Participate in supplier audits.  

    Packaging Specifications:

    • Maintain and update packaging material data on the Nestle systems. 

    Supplier development:

    • Support Packaging Head Office and Procurement in the selection, assessment and development of new suppliers/converters.
    • Raise packaging material complaints with suppliers & collaborate to resolve them.                          

    People & Know How:

    • Ensure development of competencies of packaging  assistants &  disseminate packaging best practices and knowledge at the shop floor (e.g. "One Point Lessons").
    • Source & utilise training materials available within the Group (or develop training materials as appropriate)                                           

    Packaging Material and Packaging Lines Efficiency in line with the goals of Zero waste, Zero loss:

    • Accountable for efficiency of Packaging Lines and Materials usage.
    • Support to Procurement at local & zone level.                                           

    Consumer Complaints:

    • Analyze  consumer complaints related to packaging , propose & implement corrective actions.                                             

    What will make you successful?

    • Graduate in Food Science and Technology, Engineering, preferably in Packaging, Mechanics, Chemistry or equivalent (Materials Science, Printing).
    • Min 2 years operational experience: Packaging Development and Operation in FMCG.
    • Packaging development and packing operation in FMCG.
    • Problem solving methodology.
    • Project management.
    • Supplier & converter auditing.

    HRBP

    A day in the life of an HR Business Partner Operations at Nestle:

    Contribute to the creation and lead the execution of the HR Strategy: 

    • Contribute to the execution of the business plan through the creation (where appropriate) and implementation of the People Strategies that attract, develop and retain employees. Support the organisational short- and long-term business needs to drive competitive advantage and address opportunities and threats. Act as People Co-Pilot to the business unit, mentoring and coaching the business head and his/her team whilst driving the the flawless execution of HR Initiatives. Co-ordinate and execute workforce planning for the specific customer unit. Provide timely recommendations to business head on people agenda

    Organizational Design & Development (OD&D): 

    • Pro-actively challenge the established organizational structure of the function to drive superior performance. . Ensure people issues are a key consideration when discussing and planning business activities. Manage effective organisational transformation and change projects using best practice methodologies. Shape the culture to align with business goals & initiatives through supporting & coaching Line managers in their implementation of core people processes. Work with leaders to enhance current and future functional and leadership capability needs.

    Performance & Talent Management: 

    • Develop the People Plan and Talent Management agenda for the business unit. Support the Line Managers in delivery of key HR processes, such as succession planning or performance review. Participate and provide insights to top level interviews.

    Employee Engagement: 

    • Establish and maintain effective and positive working relationships with managers, employees and their representatives through an environment that fosters communication and co-operation. Give input to complex individual employee situations, legal cases and employee relations issues. Establish and maintain healhy relations with employee/labour relations organisations.

    Lead the promotion of an inclusive culture that is safe, productive, empowering and equitable: 

    • Coach others to behave and make decisions in line with organizations Purpose and values. Responsible for compliance and governance in HR (policies and practices).

    HR Organisational Alignment and Functional Development: 

    • Partner with the respective CoCs and Local HR Services team to drive development of the function and ensure the strategic needs of the business are considered as solutions are delivered. Share insight and understanding with CoCs that support the development of new requirements and drive continuous improvement.

    Connect externally as the Business Unit HR People Ambassador to continually gain insights and knowledge and drive continuous improvement.

    What will make you successful?

     You must have a completed Bachelor’s degree in HR or similar.

    • 3 - 5 years’ experience in a HR Management role or similar role.
    • Exposure to CoC/CoS processes, e.g., Talent Management, Learning & Development, Employee Relations, Compensation & Benefits, Recruitment/Resourcing.
    • Leading and managing change through the effective use of organisation design, development and business transformation techniques.
    • Experience of working in Industrial and employee/labour relations.
    • Success leading, coaching and developing people in a high performing team environment e.g., performance management etc.
    • Effective influencing and coaching of leaders.
    • Leading people and projects experience.   
    • Successful experience in contributing to the creation, implementation & execution of people strategies for a business, function or unit.
    • Worked within a Matrix environment, achieving results through effective influencing and collaborating
    • Range of experiences supporting different parts of the business in order to develop broad business acumen.

    Medical Delegate Nutrition

    A day in the life of a Medical Delegate:

    Product and concept detailing in the assigned territory:

    • Apply Professional Negotiation Skills at an advanced level and use the appropriate product, concept knowledge and research to detail the NIN range to HCPs.

    · Territory management

    • Manage the assigned territory of about 250 - 300 HCPs including HCI’s in assigned territory.
    • Achievement of field force effectiveness as per Master data management/HCP classification/ HCP and HCI segmentation, master schedule planning, HCP call rate, call strike rate and execution of territory action plans.
    • Execution of “hybrid/remote interaction model”.

    Compliance

    • Application of the Code Management system guiding compliance for all daily activities, to assist the leadership team to ensure that all activities within the team and region, comply with the WHO International Code for the marketing of Breastmilk substitutes, Nestle Instructions, and the local Code.

    Advocacy:

    • Ensure increased advocacy towards Nestle Infant Nutrition products and Nestle Nutrition services, when detailing to HCP's and HCI’s, through applying the acquired functional competency skills and key account management.
    • Seek and build strategic relationships with key contacts in both private and government sector.
    • Driving recommendation / advocacy at an Institutional level and with Health Care Professionals.

    What will make you successful?

    • BSc Dietetics/ Nutrition, Nursing, Marketing, and Business Management degree holder
    • 2 years’ experience in Medical Delegate role or a representative in the pharmaceutical industry will be a benefit.
    • Experience with data management using a digital device and MS Excel intermediate experience required.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license.
    • Must be able to speak English fluently– additional languages are beneficial.
    • Must have good planning, organizing, communication and negotiation skills.
    • Must be able to work independently, self-starter, solution orientated, adaptable and result driven.
    • Must be willing to travel (including trips away from home).
    • Computer literate, MS Office, MS Excel intermediate level with data analysis experience
    • Experience with virtual engagement.
