    Project Engineer – Mining

    Activities

    Depots and Commercial customer installations: Maintenance construction & engineering.

    • Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; and ensures that designs are fit for purpose and in line with Group Standards.
    • Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors.
    • Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
    • Ensures Safety rules and standards are adhered to, and HSEQ targets as set out by Group are achieved.
    • Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests.
    • Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
    • Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
    • Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.
    • Controls project costs by approving expenditures; administering contractor contracts.
    • Prepares project status reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.
    • Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
    • Maintains project data base by writing computer programs; entering and backing up data.

    • To conduct project feasibility studies for engineering and construction projects; preparing documentation, drawings and recommendation for execution of project.
    • To guide the draughtsman or consultants in preparation of the construction drawings.
    • To provide regular updates to technical manager regarding the projects and providing explanations on any delay with regards to the projects.
    • Ensure compliance to regulation as well as safety of people and properties on site.
    • Ensures preventative maintenance is carried out as per schedules.
    • Checks that the maintenance contracts are applied correctly (SLA’s) and steers locally the contracts particularly about the HSEQ subjects.
    • Handles work requests that cannot be solved simply through general contracts.
    • Ensures constant good relations with the customer representatives (Regional Sales Managers, Area Key accounts specialists/Territory managers etc), the staff in charge of transport fuel deliveries, and HSEQ division.
    • Manages the AUC Process for work under his/her control.

    Candidate Profile

    • Qualification B.Sc or B.tech – electrical, mechanical civil engineering or relevant experience Minimum years’ experience – 5 to 7 years in the relevant fields
    • Experience in project management for engineering from beginning to end
    • Technical experience with regards to understanding and applying technical knows how. English is the working language

    Accountant - TotalEnergies Renewables Southern Africa

    Activities

    • Accounting: ensure the compliance with contractual, legal, and group accounting norms and procedures, monitor any deviation and take appropriate actions
    • Post entries using the accounting in house software. Ensure proper recording of operations in general (P&L, BS) and auxiliary (vendors, customers’ accounts).
    • Ensure accurate and timely closure of the accounts on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual statements (balance sheet and income statements). Responsible for preparation of quarterly group reporting.
    • Responsible for the preparation of statutory books. Liaise with local auditors for statutory audits.
    • Tax: Manage tax payment and tax reporting. Comply with tax filing requirements by studying regulations, adhering to requirements, advising management on required actions, calculating monthly and quarterly estimated tax payments, assembling data for quarterly and annual tax filing.
    • Liaise with the tax compliance third party and the ministry of finance/tax authorities for all the tax related topics
    • Responsible for the preparation of the corporate tax return in close cooperation with Group Tax.
    • Treasury: responsible for day-to-day cash and liquidity management in close cooperation with both subsidiary and group treasury department. Ensure sufficient funds are available to cover operational and capital investment needs.
    • Prepare bank reconciliations 
    • Proceed with payment to vendors from different bank accounts
    • Respond to financial inquiries by gathering, analysing, summarizing, and interpreting data 
    • Other or ad-hoc tasks requested by the hierarchy.
    • Comply with HSE policies,
    • Actively participate and contribute to affiliate and company HSE objectives,
    • Participates to HSE trainings and simulated exercises when required,
    • Communicates to HSE dept. all situations of risks, accidents, near-accidents in the company;  

    Candidate Profile

    • 5-8 years’ experience in an accountant role
    • Degree in Accounting, Finance or other business-related discipline
    •  CA (SA), ACCA, CIMA a plus
    • Proficient in Excel
    • Sound knowledge of SAP will be an advantage
    • Strong ethics and reliability
    • Excellent active listening presentation skills
    • Analytical and goal oriented

    Financial Reporting Analyst

    Activities

    Accounting and Reporting

    • Assist with the preparation of quarterly submission of CAP report to Paris.
    • To reconcile CAP intercompany balances and follow up on variances.
    • To prepare  balance sheet reconciliations and follow up on open items.
    • Investigate unknown bank open items and ensure items are not older than 30 days.
    • To compile, analyse and capture journal entries on Docuware.
    • To calculate inter-company charges and their billing.
    • Assist with preparation of Annual Financial Statements for TMSA and TERSA

    • Attending to adhoc requests from management.
    • Review of GL open items and clearing.

    • Participate in current and future information technology projects that have impact on the financial statements of the group plus business projects.
    • Help optimize the use of available technology improve the flow of available information internal and external stakeholders.
    • Help identify non-value adding processes and drive the implementation of more improved accounting processes.

          HSEQ

    • To ensure constant adherence and compliance to company HSEQ and security standards, local by-laws, standards and legislation so as to minimize all risk pertaining to company assets and protection of life.

    Lubricants & Specialities - Production Planner (LMP) - Durban

    Context & Environment

    • To ensure plant Optimization and efficient production by producing a credible workable plan to meet agreed service levels. 
    • For the pro-active identification, correction and modification of plans according to the continuously changing circumstances in priorities, market demand, raw material, blending constraints, resource and manpower availabilities. 
    • Detailed schedule of Production Orders taking into account plant requirements such as capacities (e.g. Batch sizes and Resource capacities) 
    • Agree production schedules with relevant stake holders (e.g. Production team, Inbound Material Planner, Quality team & Dispatch Team) in the form of a draft plan.
    • Attend daily production planning meetings to review performance and record issues that will impact the Budgeted Production Targets.
    • Ensures availability of information is accurately reflected in the system by maintaining relevant information in the Production Orders and make visible to relevant stakeholders (e.g. Inbound Material Planner).
    • Provides capacity information to Ops Control. to assist with budget planning via capacity reports.  Understands their impact on Production Schedule Adherence (PSA) by accurately and timely maintaining scheduled dates in the Production Orders.
    • Proactively monitor and review adherence to standards in production routings and update relevant MRP Master Data as required, for preparation, execution and management of plans.
    • Participation in management issues of common interest to “process” owners.  Example SAP Updates and Sap Related Projects within own area of control- PP Module.
    • Responsible and Accountable for the coordination and management of 3rd Party Fillers (Subcontractors). 
    • Ensure that all KPI`s- are up-to date and monitored (in-transit, Open purchases orders, Interface Results, etc). Responsible for the Coordination and Execution of the Monthly and Yearly Audited Stock Reconciliations for the Lubricants Manufacturing Plant and its associated service providers (Subcontractors).

    Activities

    Production Planning:

    • To ensure the efficient and continuous operation of the blending and filling operations of the plant by effectively planning and scheduling production orders to ensuring efficient and economical use of available resources. (Space, materials, machinery, labour).  
    • Analyse and report on production planning activities against targets and drive initiatives of continuous improvement.
    • Prepare purchase orders for Subcontractors, expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
    • Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations against Marketing FC is achievable with the current resources

    Working Capital Management:

    • Conduct monthly stock counts and reconciliation’s as per Total’s business rule.
    • To ensure proper stock management of raw & packaging material and bulk finished product by processing all related transactions, in compliance to Total’s business rules.
    • To continuously manage and reduce working capital by optimising the MRP Tool while and not compromising customer service.

    HSEQ:

    • To effectively manage and minimise HSE risk within area of responsibility by ensuring:
    • Compliance with all HSE Policies, rules, guideline and legal requirements
    • Promotion of safe working environment and positively contributing to the company HSE KPI’s and risk reduction strategies
    • That HSE competency requirements are identified & enforced within area of responsibility

    Governance:

    • To ensure effective risk management and internal control, including asset management, for area of responsibility.
    • Relief in the following area:  Planning Manager, Lubricants Despatcher, Assistant Planner 
    • Organisations: Internal and external stakeholders. 
    • Challenge: To improve cross-functional integration across departments on all process related to the MM and PP business streams.              
    •  To work within an Erratic Environment with minimum Forecast and Seasonal Changes 

    Candidate Profile

    • A tertiary qualification in the fields of either Production Planning, Stock Management, Production Management or equivalent ( M+3), 
    •  Post Graduate Qualification in business / SAP PP Certification - Advantageous 
    • 3 to 5 years working experience in the production environment of a Petroleum or Chemical Manufacturer.
    • Fully experienced in ERP manufacturing system (MPS/MRP/BOMs/Routing/etc)
    • Good communication, presentation and negotiation skills (suppliers, contractors on costs and delivery) 
    • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 & ISO 14001
