RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Run and execute small scale building / facilities related projects with a view to obtain Professional status;
• Safety training and continuous safety and quality management with a view to obtain a Government Certificate of Competence (GCC);
• Research and analyses to improve systems and establish new services that will allow the business to operate independently;
• Building business cases for projects and monitoring project viability assumptions;
• Root causes analyses on component failures;
• Managing energy consumption of the facilities and driving projects for energy reduction.
• Assist in the planning, conceptualising, and creating mechanical designs for new projects;
• Provide technical support to engineering team and perform testing and validation of concepts;
• Assist in resolving product selection through creative testing and re-engineering;
• Engage in problem analysis and resolution;
• Continuous evaluation of current systems and processes to drive efficiencies;
• Analyse and identify opportunities to reduce process variation and optimize process performance;
• Prepare detailed reports to demonstrate technical progress and accomplishments on projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Required to perform various duties including, but not limited to:
• Heavy maintenance;
• Conduct routine inspections;
• Fault finding and rectification;
• Perform C-check inspections & tests;
• Inspector for mechanical on all aspects of aircraft maintenance.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12;
• Licensed AME with a SACAA A License on B737 –400 and -800;
• Licensed AME with a SACAA C license on CFM 56-3 and -7B series engines;
• Experience on GTCP131-9 and GTCP85-129 APU’s;
• Minimum of ten (10) years aviation experience;
• Previous experience working on B737 – 400 and -800 is necessary;
• Sound understanding of technical aircraft publications and documentation;
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and on public holidays;
• Must be available and willing to travel at short notice, both domestic and internationally;
• Sound understanding of B737-400 and B737-800 mechanical systems;
• Understanding of SACAR’s as applicable to maintenance;
• Valid South-African/ Foreign passport holder;
• Good computer soft skills in Word and Excel.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist passengers with ticket sales, bookings and flight changes including explaining rules, terms and conditions, regulations and procedures as and when required;
• Assist customers when there are flight disruptions and/or cancellations;
• Handle and safeguard of confidential information;
• Address any complaints in a professional and timeous manner;
• Escalate any problematic issues to the Supervisor on duty;
• Provide professional Customer service at all times.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12;
• Airport experience and ticket sales within an aviation concern;
• Able and willing to work on weekends, public holidays, flexible hours, and shifts, as and when required;
• Good knowledge and understanding of a computer and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook);
• Excellent understanding of delivering great customer service;
• Excellent written and verbal command of the English language including proper phone etiquette;
• Conflict resolution skills.
