    PDC Insights Analyst

    JOB SUMMARY

    • Translate internal briefs and questions into analytical projects (includes refining the initial ask and asking the ‘right questions’, working through potential hypotheses and storyboarding the output)
    • Conduct analysis using in-house analytics tools, and be comfortable analysing a range of social and business data
    • Building and testing queries on in-house social and search data tools
    • Building and maintaining dashboards for internal customers using internal visualisation tools
    • Provide qualitative and quantitative analysis and insight to inform business strategy, marketing and brand strategies, digital marketing content and strategy, communications and new product development
    • Synthesising data and analysis into impactful, action-orientated reports for internal stakeholders
    • Able to communicate the key findings and insight to senior stakeholders and peers both conversationally and in formal presentation style
    • Monitor progress of deliverables and actively work with delivery analysts in the an extended off-shore team where required on complex briefs
    • Maintain knowledge of previous analysis to avoid duplication and to share learnings from relevant past projects
    • Arrange a follow-up meeting with internal business partners after they have received their analysis to ensure that it has been helpful, and document any scope for improvements to the service
    • Secondary Responsibilities
    • Maintain a catalogue of previous requests/projects and own the central database of case studies / outputs
    • Proactively flag any workload issues or problems to the PDC Analytics manager, and identify opportunities for new services based on demand
    • Update workflow trackers on a daily basis
    • Upload briefs & deliverables to Unilever’s knowledge sharing platform, PeopleWorld
    • Partner with local Consumer & Market Insights (CMI) and Marketing stakeholders to educate the local market on what the PDC can do, and align all research projects to the strategic priorities of the local market

    KEY REQUIREMENTS

    • Relevant Marketing / Business degree
    • Primary Traits (required)
    • Deep entrepreneurialism & a passionate “get-up-and-go” attitude. A clear demonstration of a “founder’s mindset”, ideally with some experience of creating something from scratch with little direction.
    • Experience in an analytical role and providing insights and recommendation based on analysis
    • Some experience of using analytical tools
    • Some data modelling or query building experience
    • Experience of “storytelling” in a corporate context, and crafting clear, compelling messaging
    • Secondary Traits (‘nice to have’)
    • Experience of understanding business questions and writing appropriate briefs
    • Experience of social analytics or NLP tools (Brandwatch, Crimson Hexagon, etc.)
    • Experience of search & web analytics tools
    • Experience briefing technical teams and being able to translate business objectives into analytical hypotheses
    • Passion for the digital world and its implications for business – A deep understanding of the local social media landscape, influencer marketing, etc. is highly desirable
    • Confident doing things differently and ability to face challenges head-on in times of uncertainty, with a collaborative approach

    Site SHE Lead

    Your Role:

    Site leadership across SHE agenda. Coordinates the overall implementation and maintenance of the SHE management system and promotes continuous improvement practices which reduce the business SHE risk.

    Your Key Tasks:

    • Drives and facilitate the implementation of the SHE systems in line with: System standards (ISO/FWS); Corporate standards and guidelines; Legislative requirements and Business process requirements.
    • Introduces, sells and champions SHE best practices, and customises to suit business needs. Coordinates, monitors and audits all SHE activities related to the business and ensures all business SHE activities meet Unilever and legislative requirements and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
    • Custodian of the business SHE system, ensuring it’s maintained and adequate data and document management practices are adhered to. Change catalyst and custodian of the MOC SHE agenda
    • Manage Business and Contractor statistics. Drive annual, quarterly and monthly KPI tracking. Monitoring SHE objectives and targets. As the SHE expert provide specialist support across the site
    • Drives, assists with and collates general SHE risk assessments
    • Delivers SHE training programs, and liaises on annual and day to day issues with regulatory authorities, independent SHE auditing bodies and the Unilever SHE team
    • Maintain best practice and knowledge base through networks within the wider SHE community internal and external. Formulates and prepares legal appointments in terms of regulatory and system requirements

    Skills and Experiences:

    Engineering Degree (BSc/Beng/ BTech)

    • Engineering background across Continuous Improvements or World Class Manufacturing or Total Productive Maintenance will be an advantage?
    • Experience building facts off data/ analytics and providing recommendation actions in FMCG/ Factory/ Manufacturing/ Contruction/ Mining/ Automotive environment will be an advantage
    • Thought leadership and Stakeholder management and engagement. Proficient ability to hold others accountable and driving outputs is essential
    • Working Knowledge of OHS Act and Compensation for Occupational Injury and Disease Act, Environmental Legislation and other relevant legislation will be an advantage
    • NOSA or ISO 9000, 14001 and OHSAS 18001, NOSA Courses: IT IS, SAMTRAC, risk identification and other SHE related courses and TPM Facilitators courses will be an advantage

    Engineering Manager

    MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

    The Engineering Manager has overall responsibility for engineering projects and maintenance, including utilities, production lines, processing plants, and buildings. The primary objective of the job is to implement improvements contributing to the factory’s PQCDSMI targets and to effectively maintain all operational and support elements of the sourcing unit. The Engineering Manager manages engineering spares, assets, and site services to support manufacturing activities.

    JOB SUMMARY:

    • Manage the technical / maintenance teams responsible to deliver Projects, Innovation, Infrastructure and Services to the site
    • Develop, deploy and implement plans to ensure the best utilization of assets in the sites as well as supervise and give guidance on the maintenance of such assets
    • Lead the Innovation implementation on the site, looking for best alternatives/options of design to manufacturing, following USCC/ category technology selections. Support innovation delivery as part of regional network
    • Prepare and Manage Capital budget and Capital Expenditure Proposals in coordination with cluster and category requirements
    • Liaison with Category and Cluster Engineering /Excellence teams for technology upgrades Implementation of the capital projects portfolio post approval; to project closure, following the EEM  principles for Early Equipment Management
    • Ensure that Quality of the work conducted is to the highest possible standard and lowest cost
    • Responsible for the Safety of all project-related operations within the factory, as well as maintaining and setting of safe working procedures; including management of Health, Safety and Environmental aspects of project management from design (PHA, HAZOPS, MDSAS), equipment selection, project implementation (site safety), Commissioning and final project handover
    • Lead the Early Equipment Management and Planned Maintenance WCM pillar; and Change Management  application Create and implement plans to continuously improve site infrastructure needs such as energy, water, treatment, steam and all infrastructure services, contracts and contractors Collaborate with Operations Team to drive site and line efficiencies and reduce waste
    • Develop, build and make available in the organization the Product, Process and Packaging Expertise relevant to the asset base
    • Manage the Projects, Innovation and Maintenance budgets Asset care and improvement through establishing and maintaining an effective system of preventative maintenance applicable to plant and services (WCM based)
    • Manage the engineering contractors and ensure statutory and legal compliance
    • Optimize maintenance cost, drive improvements on key Engineering KPI’s such as MTBF MTTR and PM compliance
    • Optimize spare parts safety stock levels in line with working capital targets of the sourcing unit Implement control measures to ensure system accuracy in accounting of spares and spares consumption Implement projects on Energy Efficiency program and sustainability
    • Coach and develop the team across the site on technical and technology issues
    • Securing, rationalization and standardization of engineering spares Implementation and management of engineering standards
    • Drive the adherence of Machine safety both company as well as local regulatory standards

    KEY REQUIREMENTS:

    • University degree (Mechanical or Electrical or Chemical) 3-5 years Operations experience within FMCG/ Manufacturing Proficient Engineering experience within FMCG Supply Chain (Planning, Customer Service, Logistics) Budgeting and Planning Category Technology People Management Project Management
    • Knowledge of refrigeration technologies Knowledge in Food manufacturing practices Ice-cream manufacturing knowledge.
