    Grade 12 Tutoring Programme

    • Are you a passionate graduate with a strong background in Mathematics and Physical Science? We are offering an exciting opportunity for unemployed graduates to tutor Grade 12 learners at three schools in and around Ekurhuleni.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

    • Currently unemployed Graduates with Maths (Third year) and/or Physics (Third year).
    • Previous experience as a tutor is advantageous.
    • Studying towards or completed a degree in Mathematics, Physical Science, or a qualification where these two subjects were core modules.
    • Strong subject knowledge and excellent communication skills.

    Job Requirements
    SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Tutoring lessons for Grade 12 learners
    • Past paper revisions and exam preparations.
    • Provide academic support to Grade 12 high school learners in Mathematics and Physical Science in the buildup to Grade 12 Preliminary examinations.
    • Conduct tutoring sessions to enhance learners' understanding and performance.
    • Assist with exam preparation and problem-solving strategies.
    • Be available every Friday and Saturday during the examination period.

    Instrument Mechanician (Refinery)

    PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

    • The purpose of this role is responsible for repairs and maintenance of all industrial instrumentation and related process control systems within the Refinery Business Unit.

    SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Execute industrial instrumentation planned maintenance within specified time and give feedback to foreman.
    • Promptly attend to any industrial instrumentation and related process control systems breakdowns and call-outs.
    • Manage all maintenance work orders issued on time to ensure that weekly and monthly KPIs are met.
    • Complete your weekly work orders on time within expected levels of quality.
    • Working with projects department to ensure that all new projects are complete in accordance with existing specification and best practices aligned to electrical and instrumentation work.
    • Participate in risk assessments and incidence investigations based on external and internal influences, including any inspections or audits when required.
    • Ensure compliance with the permit to work system as well as other related protocols.
    • Ensure compliance with any instruction given with regards to Occupational Health and Safety.
    • Assists in cost reduction initiatives by reducing waste and improving efficiencies.
    • The incumbent will be required to work rotational stand-by with other instrumentation staff to cover the Refinery or Service Yard business unit.  

    Job Requirements
    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Completed Matric qualification or N3 in Mechanical Engineering.
    • A minimum of 3-5 years working experience within an engineering workshop or stores environment.
    • Experience working with engineering equipment will be an added advantage.

     SKILLS/COMPETENCIES :

    • Ability to identify and solve problems for planned or preventative maintenance.
    • Results driven through quality and safety awareness, managing work, planning and organising, decision making and customer focus.
    • Interact effectively through communication at all levels and build relationships.
    • Ability to adapt and initiate action.
    • Ability to read and interpret drawings.
    • Ability to identify and proactively address industrial instrumentation faults.
    • Risk assessment skills.

    KNOWLEDGE:

    • Knowledge of processes in Refinery/Maintenance and the Refinery plant equipment performance and administration.
    • Basic knowledge of PLC including troubleshooting and fault-finding.Knowledge of SCADA and Siemens S7 PLC.
    • SHEQ knowlKedge—Understand and apply relevant SHEQ practices and procedures.
    • Basic knowledge of process control systems, P&ID loops and PROFIBUS.

    Job Requirements
    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • A completed matric qualification.
    • Must have successfully completed a BCom. in Accounting or Finance qualification with an overall average/ aggregate of 70% achieved.
