- The purpose of the position is to develop students with specific core knowledge, skills and career training in Management and Business Process Management, who become life-long learners and engaged citizens.
- The lecturer is involved in the management and lecturing subjects such as Management, strategic management and Business Process Management.
- The incumbent will work closely with the rest of the Management and Business Process Management staff, students and postgraduate students. S/he will provide effective and efficient academic, administrative and organisational leadership to promote excellence and prominence in teaching and learning, research and innovation, and community engagement in the Management and Business Process Management Programme. This will be manifested in the development of:
- Lecturing material for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes;
- Excellence in the supervision of postgraduate students and a proven research track record;
- Curricular initiatives responsive to the socio-economic development needs of the society; and
- Partnerships with associated corporate entities.
- Contribute to academic initiatives undertaken by the department to enhance learning according to the needs of the industry and the department’s teaching & learning goals.
- The department is interested in an experienced lecturer with knowledge of Business Management and Business Process Management and Research methodologies at the Higher Education Level.
- The position requires proven management, academic and student support skills with a Doctoral degree relevant to Business Management, Strategic Management and Business Process Management.

- To support the department with the Clinical Mentoring, Instruction and Assessments of BSc Diagnostic Ultrasound students and associated administrative process including work integrated learning (WIL) and marks administration.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- BTech Radiography (Diagnostic Ultrasound) or equivalent qualification.
- At least three (3) years' clinical experience in Diagnostic Ultrasound.
- Registration with the HPCSA as a Diagnostic Ultrasonographer.

Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities
- Clinical education and mentoring of diagnostic ultrasound students in CPUT clinical skills laboratories and HPCSA accredited and other workplace learning (WPL) sites.
- Supervision and management of clinical skills laboratories.
- Conduct or assist with clinical demonstrations and tutorials individually or utilizing small group teaching.
- Regular monitoring of logbooks and progress reports, inclusive of student interviews to monitor progress.

Job Purpose
- The successful candidate will be appointed as a rotational HOD in line with the rotational HOD guideline for a five-year term.
- HOD responsibility: The candidate should be eligible to be appointed as the rotating HOD to lead and manage the department effectively and efficiently in line with the CPUT policies and procedures specifically but not limited to:
