    ME Network Engineer (National)

    Job Description

    • Frogfoot is seeking a ME Network Engineer to join our Engineering team.  

    Purpose of the Role

    • The ME Network Manager is responsible for leading Frogfoot's Metro Ethernet (ME) Network function, ensuring a highly available, scalable, and resilient carrier-grade network that supports the organisation's strategic objectives.
    • This role combines technical leadership with people leadership, driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, network automation, capacity planning, and service reliability. Working closely with Executive Leadership and Engineering Management, you'll ensure the network evolves to meet business growth while maintaining exceptional customer service and operational performance.

    What You'll Be Responsible For

    Leadership & People Management

    • Lead, mentor and develop the Metro Ethernet Engineering team.

    What You’ll Need to Have

    Qualifications

    • Degree or Diploma in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology or a related field.
    • Management qualification or Leadership Certification will be advantageous.
    • Project Management certification (Prince2, PMBOK or equivalent) is advantageous.

    Experience

    • 7–10 years' experience within a Fibre, ISP or Telecommunications environment.
    • Extensive experience managing carrier-grade Metro Ethernet networks.
    • Proven leadership experience managing or supervising engineering or operational teams.

    Core Engineer - National

    Job Description

    • Frogfoot is seeking a Core Engineer to join the Engineering team.

    Purpose of the Role

    • As a Core Engineer at Frogfoot, you'll play a key role in designing, operating, maintaining, and optimising our national carrier-grade core network. You'll ensure the stability, performance, and availability of our IP and optical transmission infrastructure while supporting the delivery of reliable, high-quality connectivity to our customers.
    • Working closely with internal teams, vendors, and service providers, you'll contribute to network growth, continuous improvement initiatives, and technical projects that enable Frogfoot to deliver world-class fibre connectivity and carrier solutions.

    What You’ll Be Responsible For

    Network Operations & Engineering

    • Design, implement and maintain carrier-grade IP and optical transmission networks.
    • Configure, commission and support core network infrastructure.
    • Perform network capacity planning and optimisation to ensure network scalability.
    • Maintain network availability and proactively identify potential risks.

    Service Delivery

    • Provision, commission and maintain services on the transmission, IP Core and IPT networks.
