    Repair Operators Preventive 1

    The purpose of the role:

    Diagnose problems in malfunctioning equipment, determine the faulty part, and then decide if it can be fixed or to be replaced. Perform repair and overhaul operations, refurbishment in the repair centre, assemble finished product and inspect product to ensure high quality standards.

    Operate, tend, stop, and clean machines, execute dynamic storage maintenance tasks. Realise level 1 and 2 maintenance tasks on special and standard tools in all facilities.

    Network & Links: Industrial teams, Depot operation team, EHS, Warehouse, Logistics Methods, Regional Centre EPU Managers, Production workers, Maintenance and Overhaul workers.

     

    Requirements

    • Technical Certificate in the manufacturing field (mechanical, pneumatic or electrical)

    • Minimum experience of 2 years in the maintenance or production field, preferably in the railway industry

    • Ability to read and understand drawings, use schematics and test specifications

    • Previous working knowledge of Health & Safety standards

    • Ability to execute the work autonomously

    • Ability to Coach Others and occasionally share skills/information to others

    • Self-Motivated  and inspired by the job in hand

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Track  and clean assemblies to be tested / repaired

    • Mechanical disassemble the products

    • Execute maintenance tasks on sub-system products, tools and equipment

    • Operate production equipment

    • Ensure conformance to specifications

    • Fill of all necessary documents. Schematics, Fabrication drawings, etc.

    • Ability to make repair or scrap decision

    • Identify and cross reference components.

    • Organise and store components replacement and assemblies.

    • Ensure validity and certification of relevant tools

    • Populate relevant maintenance and repair follow-up in the data base

    • Guarantee information flow within the repair team

    • Perform quality self-control

    • Monitor the production process and carrying out basic testing and quality checks

    • Clean and maintain work areas and machinery in good state

    • Propose new or improved ways or working that will enable the Teams to improve their efficiency or the safety of their work

    • Undertake other duties as specified by the Repair Centre Manager

    • Carry out such work in accordance with strict Health & Safety procedures as laid down by legislation and the Company Health  Safety policies.

    • Read reports and manuals as and when required.

    • Report accidents/incidents, and the work done to validate or maintain the tools.

    • Drive company vehicles when required and applicable

    Technical Training Coordinator

    Purpose of the Job:

    In this position, he/she will ensure the smooth and effective roll-out of training events and special projects throughout our organization. The training coordinator will oversee the design, development, and coordination of training, and run both large and small-scale programs for our entire organization. Our ideal candidate will be both exceptionally knowledgeable, approachable, and confident in front of all groups of people.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Design and develop interactive training programs (outsourced or in-house) for corporate, HR training, compliance training, etc.

    • Select the best training methods or activities for a particular purpose and audience (e.g. role-playing, mentoring, on the job training, professional development classes, etc.).

    • Market training opportunities to employees in an engaging and compelling way that provides all necessary information and entices participation

    • See the big picture and conduct whole organization needs assessments, identifying skills or knowledge gaps that need addressing

    • Uphold best practices and corporate education principles for training by ensuring quality and consistency through the course life cycle.

    • Plan and Prepare training material, classroom agenda, electronic learning, multimedia programs, simulators, conference and workshops.

    • Compile and update the annual Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ATR)

    • Plan and monitor artisan development programme – Artisan Recognition of Prior Learning (ARPL)

    • Maintain employee training records, review and ensure accuracy of data in the system

    • Design and prepare educational aids and materials as needed (e.g. learner guides, manuals, handbooks, practical examples and mock-ups, presentations, handouts and etc.)

    • Measure instructional effectiveness and generate summative evaluation reports with the goal of defining the impact of training on employee skills and KPIs

    • Connect with internal stakeholders and liaise with various experts regarding instruction and scheduling

    • Facilitate train-the-trainer sessions for in-house experts/trainers

    • Oversee and maintain in-house training facilities and necessary equipment

    • Establish and maintain relationship with internal and external training providers.

    • Keep track of current training design and development methodologies

     

    Training Coordinator Requirements and Qualifications

    • National Technical, HR education, or related field

    • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal

    • Significant work experience as a trainer, training facilitator, or organizing multiple training events, preferably in a corporate environment

    • Strong working knowledge of instructional design theory as well as proof of successful implementation

    • Strong knowledge of learning management systems

    • Proven track record, showing the ability to successfully complete the full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)

    • Proven track record of working with artisan development initiatives and understanding of the stakeholder value chain.

    • Knowledgeable about both traditional and modern job training methods and techniques

    • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency in particular Ms Word and Excel

    • Exceptional organizational skills including the ability to handle multiple assignments and prioritize work

    • Skills Development Facilitator and assessor will be an added advantage.

    TSSSA Maintenance Technician Warranty Support - Internship Programme

    Purpose:

    Provide technical support to the customer during commercial service, during preventive and corrective maintenance before and after warranty. Perform train preparations and execute corrective maintenance during and after warranty.

    Ensure availability & performance targets are achieved in line with Customer requirements.

    The job involves frequent mobility, with work in several depots, and at times on the train corridors and to carry out

    technical support and maintenance on 24/7 shift & on-call basis (night, day and on week-end)

     

    Minimum Requirements:
