Job Description

• An exciting position has become available for a Statutory Accountant within the largest fixed wireless internet service provider in South Africa. This person will play a fundamental role in the corporate financial reporting team. Reporting to the Group Reporting Manager the successful incumbent will focus on internal financial controls, statutory, regulatory and financial reporting requirements as well as ad hoc internal audit procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Calculate and account for IFRS adjustments (IAS 23, IFRS 2, IFRS 15 and IFRS 16)
• Consolidation entries and external stakeholder reporting
• Preparation of reports to the Audit and Risk Committee
• Assist in preparation of consolidated and separate annual financial statements in
• accordance with IFRS and accounting policies
• Manage audit queries and assist in resolution of queries
• Review of internal controls, identify weaknesses in controls and propose improvements
• Manage interim and year-end external audit processes and requirements
• Technical support to finance operations
• Ad hoc finance requests
• Research of new IFRS standards and applications

Requirements:

• CA(SA)
• Completed SAICA articles with audit experience
• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
