    External Sales Representative - ACDC Express - Somerset West (Sommerset)

    Description:

    • Maintain and develop a business orientated relationship by taking ownership of the accounts, improving ACDC Express interest in the allocated customer base and facilitating the sales process between the company and the customer.
    • Through the interactions with the clientele achieve agreed upon targets and implement the company’s business initiatives.

    Purpose of the Role:

    • Getting the sale” using various customer sales methods. Forecasting sales, developing “out of the box” sales strategies/models and evaluating their effectiveness. Evaluating customers needs and building productive long-lasting relationships.

    Maintain accurate and complete customer account information.

    Responsibilities:

    • Understanding the marketplace relative to product offering and client base demographics
    • Searching for and capitalizing on new product opportunities positioning and branding for the respective product range in client stores
    • Together with respective Brand or Category managers, developing product launch programs as well as formulation of customer days or product awareness campaigns within the client portfolio
    • Liaising with Senior Management and ensuring that sales targets are met
    • Analyzing current marketplace and ensuring feedback is given regarding important market and competitive information
    • Training clients on products as and when required
    • Executing sales strategies
    • Generating new leads and developing existing customers
    • Responding to customer enquiries
    • Achieving high sales targets and goals
    • Building new business relationships using existing industry contacts
    • When required, giving sales presentations to various levels of audiences
    • Managing employer’s expectations, client relationships and providing these with excellent service and support
    • Providing feedback regarding suggestions for improvement and market research
    • As and when required, liaising with internal business partner(s) regarding exhibitions/customers’ day of any type with reference to ACDC including attending these events and or arranging these events
    • Quotation formulation and follow up thereof
    • Attending Sales Meetings and providing the necessary information/ statistics etc.
    • Planning as well as submission of weekly calls and reporting on weekly activities
    • Customer account maintenance
    • Attending of ad hoc training sessions
    • Saturday work will be required as per published roster
    • Find and capitalize on new product opportunities and possible turnkey projects by positioning the brand of ACDC in these customers.
    • Managing employer’s expectations, client relationships with exceptional customer service and support.
    • Compile accurate and precise calendar entries with a briefing on what transpired during sales calls

    Requirements

    Requirements

    • Experience and or knowledge in an electrical manufacturing / sales environment
    • An Electrical or similar technical qualification will be advantageous.
    • 3 to 5 years in related sales role
    • Driver’s License + own vehicle.
    • Technical product knowledge of our products will be preferable
    • Proven marketing and sales competencies and ability to analyse market and set new strategy
    • Ability to establish new markets/ establish new business relationships and train clients on products

    Retail - Picker / Packer (Milnertin/Century City)

    Description

    • The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately picking, packing, and preparing stock for customers while ensuring excellent service and maintaining a well-organised work area. This role suits a hands-on individual with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Accurately pick items from inventory based on customer orders or retail requirements.
    • Pack products securely to prevent damage during transit or handling.
    • Verify item quality, quantity, and condition before packing.
    • Label packages clearly with correct shipping and order information.
    • Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the store and work areas, including shelves, counters, and displays.
    • Assist with stock replenishment and inventory organization as needed.
    • Collaborate effectively with warehouse and retail team members.
    • Report any discrepancies or issues with stock or orders promptly.
    • Follow company policies and health & safety procedures at all times

    Requirements

    • Matric/ Grade12.
    • 1+ years work experience in a similar role.
    • Excellent verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work harmoniously with diverse range of people.
    • Proficient with using tools required for this position.
    • Physically agile and dexterous.

    Risk Controller (Retail) (Milnertin/Century City)

    Description

    • This role plays a vital part in minimizing risk, preventing stock losses, and ensuring a positive customer experience at store exit and checkout areas.

    Key Responsibilities

    The successful incumbent will be responsible for, but not limited to:

    • Checking customer invoices against merchandise before stock leaves the store
    • Monitoring stock movement at the checkout and exit points
    • Assist in minimizing stock losses and identify potential risk situations
    • Greeting customers professionally when entering and leaving the store
    • Identifying suspicious or irregular activity
    • Maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly checkout and exit area
    • Following company risk and security procedures at all times
    • Supporting store staff and management when and where operationally required

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 / Matric
    • Minimum of 1 year work experience in a similar role (Retail Risk Control, Loss Control, or Checkpoint Security advantageous)
    • Good communication skills
    • Attention to detail and ability to remain alert at all times
    • Ability to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays
