    Sales Agent-Rise

    Description

    • We are looking for a Sale Agent with a hunter mindset to grow Rise Telecoms' footprint in the residential and MDU market nationally.
    • This is a relationship-led, solution-selling role: you will identify buildings and developments in need of connectivity infrastructure, build trust with the people who control access to them, and guide each opportunity through a long, multi-stakeholder sales cycle to a signed agreement.
    • The role is based in Johannesburg with a national sales focus and travel to sites and stakeholders across the country as required. You'll work closely with our internal proposals and technical teams to tailor commercial models — landlord funded vs. end-user direct billing, dedicated FTTH vs. shared Wi-Fi vs. voucher-based access — to the specifics of each site.

    Responsibilities:

    • Identify and build a pipeline of MDU, residential, and body corporate-managed properties nationally with connectivity infrastructure.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with landlords, property developers, body corporates, and managing agents — the decision-makers and gatekeepers for on-site connectivity contracts.
    • Run structured, often lengthy sales processes: initial engagement, site assessment coordination, proposal development, trustee or board presentations, negotiation, and contract close.
    • Represent Rise Telecoms professionally in front of trustees, boards, and managing agent portfolios — including site visits, AGMs, and trustee meetings where required.
    • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of leads, contacts, and deal stage progress.
    • Work with internal teams (proposals, technical, and operations) to shape the right connectivity model and pricing for each building —dedicated FTTH/GPON, shared Wi-Fi over Point-to-Point backhaul, or prepaid voucher-based service.

    Requirements

    • IT/Networking or property related qualifications preferred.
    • 2–4 years' B2B sales experience, ideally including exposure to long,multi-stakeholder sales cycles from lead to close.
    • Experience or exposure to sales cycles that run for several months, requiring sustained follow-through.
    • A background or experience in telecommunications, ICT infrastructure,or property/real estate would be advantageous.
    • Own reliable transport.
    • Valid driver's licence.
    • Willingness and ability to travel regularly across the country.
