- Nursing diploma/degree or Enrolled Nurse Certificate qualification and registered with SANC
- Computer literate with Meditech knowledge is advantageous
- Phlebotomy experience in a pathology environment essential
- Pathology experience is highly advantageous which includes order of draw and running of Point of Care instruments i.e. Hemocue, Stratus & running of arterial blood gas on the machine

Key Competency Requirements
- Either an MMed or FC Path (SA) (Chemical Pathology) qualification is required
- Must have more than 4 years of work experience as a Chemical Pathologist
- Current registration with the HPCSA as a Chemical Pathologist
- Client-focused with effective communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Experience with interpretation of protein electrophoresis and ancillary tests
- Demonstrable experience with AI will constitute a distinct advantage
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, and display resilience and tenacity in challenging situations
- Ability to collaborate with a diverse group of people
- Must have an acceptable performance record regarding the technical and behavioural competencies required to perform in this position
