    Principal Specialist: Segment & Product Management

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • Responsible for performance of the customer segment relative to the Segment and product strategy and the defined roadmap to deliver sustainable growth, market differentiation, and enhanced customer value for the organisation.
    • This role leads the end-to-end customer lifecycle—combines commercial & financial acumen, and cross-functional influence to ensure sustainable market share and heighten competitive advantage. The incumbent ensures good understanding of customer behaviours and needs to translate these into compelling propositions ,assist to manage product performance across verticals in the organisation, and deliver profitable growth through data-driven insights.
    • In short, to own the end-to-end performance of a specific customer segment, driving growth, retention, and profitability through focused initiatives and lifecycle management.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Segment & Product Strategy

    • Own the performance for the specific customer segment and product and adapt as necessary. this requires product management as well as proposition development for new and existing products that is appropriate to this customer segment and product.
    • Leverage customer insights, behavioural data, and persona-based analysis to inform product development, portfolio optimisation, and go-to-market initiatives.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Matric Essential and Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Marketing, Analytics or related (NQF 7)
    • Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience essential across product management, segment or commercial roles within telecom or similar industries inclusive of:
    • 3+ years in customer segment and product, value proposition design, insights, or lifecycle management or product management and
    • Experience in managing P&L up to contribution margin and driving revenue growth.

    Plant Specialist

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • Responsible for overall site performance, maintenance and recovery  of MSC and BSC/Hub sites by  liaising with various stakeholders to ensure Network availability and resilience.

    Principal Specialist Power Compliance

    Role purpose: 

    • Accountable for establishing and governing power compliance across the MAST power portfolio, ensuring all installations, upgrades, maintenance activities, and vendor-delivered works meet statutory requirements, internal engineering standards, customer obligations, and industry best practice.
    • Provides principal-level technical leadership across AC/DC telecom power (grid, generator, rectifier, battery, solar, grounding, protection, and monitoring) and leads compliance interpretation, technical governance, and audit readiness in a multi-tenant TowerCo environment.

    Who you are

    Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

    Compliance framework & standards (owns):

    • Define, maintain, and continuously improve the power compliance framework, standards, procedures, and governance requirements for the telecom power portfolio (AC/DC, including grid, generator, rectifier, battery, solar, grounding, protection, monitoring).
    • Set minimum compliance requirements and acceptance criteria for new builds, upgrades, life-cycle replacements, maintenance interventions, battery projects, generator integrations, solar deployments, tenant expansions, and site modernisation.
    • Interpret statutory and engineering requirements (e.g., SANS/IEC) and translate them into practical checklists, inspection criteria, commissioning/acceptance requirements, and field work instructions.
    • Drive standardisation of compliant power solutions to reduce technical variation, improve quality, and enhance operational supportability.

    Audit, inspection & assurance (governs):

    • Plan and govern compliance audits, technical inspections, and assurance activities across operational and project sites, including methodologies, evidence requirements, scorecards, and close-out expectations.
    • Review workmanship quality, documentation packs, test records, as-built status, statutory records, and compliance evidence to confirm readiness for handover or ongoing operation.
    • Own tracking and closure of non-conformances/defects within agreed timelines; analyse repeat findings and drive systemic corrective actions.

    Design, engineering & technical deviation control (approves/recommends):

    • Review and govern power designs, scopes of work, and technical submissions from a compliance, safety, and risk perspective; approve compliance requirements prior to implementation where delegated.
    • Provide specialist guidance on compliant application of AC/DC architectures (load, resilience targets, protection, cable sizing, breaker coordination, battery autonomy/recharge, growth, shared infrastructure, monitoring/control logic).
    • Provide specialist judgement on deviations, non-standard applications, and incident/root-cause investigations; escalate high-risk statutory exposures and recommend remediation priorities.

    Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

    • Telecom / TowerCo / critical infrastructure experience with strong understanding of multi-tenant operating environments and vendor-delivered work.
    • Deep practical AC/DC telecom power expertise (rectifiers, batteries, generators, distribution, grounding/earthing, protection systems, monitoring, and hybrid/renewable solutions).
    • Proven governance capability: technical audits, inspections, acceptance/handovers, quality assurance, remediation tracking, and contractor performance management.
    • Working knowledge of applicable standards and statutory requirements for electrical installations in telecom environments (including SANS 10142-1 and relevant IEC / EU standards).

    Must have technical / professional qualifications: 

    • Bachelor’s Degree, BTech, in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
    • Professional registration with a recognised engineering body will be advantageous
    • 8+ years’ experience in a senior specialist, governance, quality assurance, or compliance-focused role.

    Executive Head Of Power

    Role purpose:  

    • Take end-to-end responsibility for the MAST power solution strategy designs with a profit and loss ownership of the power operations, including the Energy Management System (EMS), site power generation, electricity storage and all related electrical engineering solution optimisation requirements.  Plans, designs, organises, and oversees the construction or remodelling of energy generation site solutions for a national portfolio of sites. Evaluate energy related projects to reduce energy costs and improve energy efficiency. 
    • Develop cost-effective Power-as-a Service (PaaS) energy strategies for the MAST multitenant site sharing requirements, allowing for the solution to be integrated with independent power providers, while ensuring that power usage is accurately monitored and that billing capabilities are effectively provided.  This includes technical solution design, solution optimization and site power integration and maintenance planning, ensuring power reliability, with a full power total cost of ownership (profit and loss) responsibility.

    Who you are

    • Responsible for the development of site-specific power strategies for different customers, this includes the development of technical specifications for different power solution requirements and the support requirements for the implementation and maintenance of these different power solutions nationally.

    • Plans, designs, organises, and oversees the construction or remodelling of energy generation site solutions for a national portfolio of sites. Evaluate energy related projects to reduce energy costs and improve energy efficiency.

    • Deep understanding of existing, new and emerging telecommunications energy generation, distribution, storage and management technologies.
    • Strong management experience across multiple delivery areas and vendors, including strong programme management across a complex delivery area.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to distil complex technical concepts into simple terms, with strong persuasion skills to gain support for principles, standards, and change

    Must have technical / professional qualifications:

    • Post Grad and/or MBA is an advantage
    • Minimum of 8-10 years of hands-on working experience within the telecommunications sector, with essential working knowledge of multitenant site power operations relating to; site power monitoring, site power management (energy data) and the development of site power performance improvement.
    • Minimum of 5 years of either electrical or power solution design experience, preferably within a research and development (R&D) team, able to design, evaluate and implement different site power solutions, with a 3-5 year leadership experience is essential.

    Account Executive

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • To manage strategic key accounts, maintain a long term & healthy relationship with key internal and external stakeholders, with the primary objective to drive profitable and long-term revenue growth, customer experience & satisfaction and increased market share on the respective portfolio, through effective service delivery, protection/renewal of existing business and identifying new sales opportunities across the different product and solution offerings.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Sales & Stakeholder Management 

    • Responsible for developing and implementing account strategy to ensure delivery of all financial targets including revenue, connections for voice and data, market share and net margin contribution, as well as responsible for the delivery of the P&L.
    • Primary relationship owner for portfolio, responsible for developing strong one-to-one long term relationships with key decision makers/ influencers up to C Level, leverages those relationships to create new value, opportunities and win new business.

    • Regular Revenue Assurance to ensure all customer’s global revenues from all it’s subsidiaries are correctly reported. 

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Degree / Diploma - Essential (A 3-year Sales / Technical or Business Diploma/Degree or SAQA Accredited relevant Equivalent).
    • A Post Graduate Degree in Sales/Marketing/Business Commerce or related field advantageous.

    A minimum of 7 years’ work experience in a Sales and Service experience in the telecommunications or technology related environments e.g. (ICT) with demonstrated experience in:

    • Portfolio management

    Project Leader

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • To ensure regional Transmission and Radio Access Network projects are completed according to set schedules and within budget by liaising with different role players, applying sound project management principles and reporting on progress.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • To manage all aspects of Transmission and Radio Access Network roll-out and upgrade projects.
