    Medical Specialist Grade 1, 2 or 3 (Obstetrics And Gynaecology) (RMMCH)

    Requirements :

    • Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology or recognized sub-speciality.
    • Registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and proof of current registration.
    • GRADE 1: No experience required after registration with the HPCSA as Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
    • GRADE 2: A minimum of 5 years appropriate experience as Medical Specialist after registration with HPCSA as Medical Specialist in a normal speciality.
    • GRADE 3: A minimum of 10 years appropriate experience as Medical Specialist after registration With HPCSA as Medical Specialist in a normal speciality.

    Duties :

    • Strengthen obstetric and gynaecological health services in the institution. Promote clinical effectiveness in all facilities. Primarily support district hospitals with all aspects of service delivery related to obstetrics and gynaecology.
    • Secondarily support clinics, community health centres and primary health care outreach teams, including engaging private sector obstetricians and gynaecologists with service delivery related matters
    • Facilitate and participate in the training, development, and mentorship of under-and post graduate medical officers. Work with the district management Team to establish and maintain systems including surveillance, health information, communication and referral guidelines and processes to support the delivery of obstetrics and gynaecological services.
    • Initiate, support and participate in clinical audit and quality improvement cycles with specific focus on obstetrics and gynaecological assessments. Implement effective monitoring and evaluation processes, effective use of data and appropriate reporting on outputs and health outcomes. Initiate, support or participate in relevant research.
    • This may require involvement with local academic training institutions. Foster effective teamwork and collaboration within the DCST. Enable engagement with the local community, relevant non-government organisations and private providers.
    • Facilitate and ensure effective communication with all management structures within the district, the regional and regular reports on activities and initiatives to save mothers, babies, and children. Assist with strategic and operational planning of services in the district and/or catchment area of the regional hospital. Assist with the coordination and supervision of obstetrics and gynaecological services with the district and management of relevant human resources. Assist with recruitment.

    Session Medical Specialist (Radiology) (Mamelodi Regional Hospital)

    Requirements :

    • National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) and MBChB or equivalent. Degree that allows registration with Health Professional Council of South Africa as a Medical Specialist. Mmed (Rad) D FC Rad (D) SA. Independent practice Certificate of registration with HPCSA and current annual renewal practicing licence as a Medical Specialist.
    • Grade 1 2-5 years’ experience in ultrasound and the department of Radiology.
    • Grade 2 5-10 years’ experience in ultrasound and the department of Radiology.

    • Grade 12 plus an appropriate qualification that allows registration with HPCSA as an independent Practitioner.

    Medical Officer Grade 1 (Orthopaedics) (Rmmch)

    Requirements :

    • Qualification that allows registration with HPCSA as Medical Officer. Current registration with HPCSA as Medical Practitioner. Must have completed community service.
    • Completion of additional training courses such as Orthopaedic-related courses or ATLS is advantageous. Ability and willingness to participate in compulsory commuted overtime.

    Requirements :

    Medical Specialist Grade 1 (ENT) (Rmmch)

    Requirements :

    • An appropriate qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (ENT). Current registration as an independent Specialist Otorhinolaryngologist with the HPCSA. Previous experience will be an added advantage.

    Duties :

    Clinical Manager – Subdistrict G (Johannesburg Health District)

    Requirements :

    • Appropriate qualification (MBChB or equivalent) with current registration at the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Practitioner.
    • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience after completion of community service, with at least 3 years’ experience in primary healthcare settings (Community Health Centres and/or Primary Care Clinics).

    • Lead and coordinate clinical governance activities across the subdistrict. Implement and monitor compliance with National Core Standards and OHSC requirements in all Community Health Centres and Primary Care Clinics.
    • Establish and strengthen clinical audit systems, mortality and morbidity reviews, and adverse event reporting mechanisms. Manage performance of clinical teams through the Performance Management and Development System (PMDS). Establish systems for data collection, analysis, and utilization for decision-making.
    • Monitor implementation of clinical programmes and service delivery indicators. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on clinical governance activities and health outcomes.
