    Service Ambassador

    Your Purpose...

    • The Service Ambassador is responsible for providing exceptional in-club member experiences using the available tools and platforms across areas such as our service/reception area, exercise floor, studios, swimming facilities and extended lounge areas.
    • This role is key in engaging our members across all offerings in club as well as online. This role supports the retention of our members through daily interaction and engagement.

    Your Duties and Responsibilities...

    Conducting Front of House Duties

    • Control access into the facility
    • Communicate and provide information to staff, members and prospective members
    • Deliver on member needs and experiences from entry to exit
    • Adhere to operational standards, and administration policies and procedures

    Engaging with Members

    • Deliver excellent customer service (experiences) throughout the club to achieve NPS and member sentiment score targets
    • Drive digital engagement with members on our various platforms as our digital offering evolves
    • Expose members to online or digital exercise offerings that are personalised / tailored to meet individual member needs
    • Retain members
    • Build member relations
    • Resolve complaints for each member or incident
    • Engage members to our fitness initiatives (events) to increase member retention

    Sales Performance & Delivery

    • Drive achievement of area sales budgets (net member movement & revenue) across all clubs.

    Your Duties and Responsibilities...

    • Develop, Implement, and continuously evolve the national Central Sales Team (CST) and E-commerce strategy aligned with Virgin Active’s commercial objectives
    • Own delivery of CST and e-commerce sales targets across units, revenue, conversion, commercial and membership yield and net member movement.
    • Lead the operating rhythm of CST, including lead allocation, contact strategy, appointment conversion, online follow-up, assisted digital conversion and campaign response.
    • Own digital funnel performance from lead capture to online or club conversion, including speed-to-lead, abandonment points, online conversion and handover quality into clubs.
    • Partner with Marketing Acquisition and the Global Website Transformation team to improve lead quality, landing-page performance, website conversion, self-service capability and digital commercial outcomes.
    • Partner with the CRM programme to ensure systems, pipeline visibility, reporting, automation and customer journeys support a more effective digital and central sales model.
    • Design and implement CST and online operating standards, scripts, conversion disciplines and reporting routines.
    • Lead and develop a high-performing central sales team, ensuring clear performance expectations, pipeline discipline, coaching, workforce planning, and measurable commercial outcomes.
    • Translate CST and e-commerce activity club-level execution through Regional Heads of Sales, Area Sales Managers, and club teams to ensure clear lead ownership, effective handover and alignment between central and field channels.

    Regional Club Experience Specialist

    Club Experience Manager Coaching and Capability Building

    • Coach and mentor Club Experience Managers to deliver consistent member experiences
    • Support newly appointed Club Experience Managers through structured onboarding.
    • Identify development opportunities and create individualized development plans
    • Facilitate regional customer experience forums and best practice sessions.
    • Implement succession pipeline for development of future Customer Experience Specialist within the region
    • Be involved in the recruitment process of new CEMs (External and Internal). This function is done in conjunction with Head of Customer Service, the CGM and Regional specialist should be entrusted and be accountable to recruit at club level.  As Head of Function, you should oversee the succession pipeline for CEMS and Regional Specialists
    • Conduct regular club visits using observation, coaching, role-modelling, workshops and member-journey reviews to embed service standards.

    Member Experience and Front-Of-House Standards
