    Responsibilities include, but not be limited:

    Meal Preparation and Presentation

    • Control cooking of all food from preparation to presentation
    • Ensure the meals are prepared correctly according to company specifications
    • Ensure that all necessary safety and health procedures are followed at all times
    • Ensure that you use the equipment correctly and safely

    Health and safety

    • Ensure you and your team maintain the highest possible food hygiene standards

    Coffee Shop

    • Ensure that the quality of café meals is of the highest standard 
    • Ensure that the café fridge is cleaned and all items labelled and dated as per company policy

    Qualifications:

    • Chef's diploma / qualification from a registered tertiary education provider

    Requirements and Experience: 

    • Experience in food quality management and standardisation
    • Quality orientated
    • Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
    • Excellent physical condition and stamina
    • Ability to travel and relieve colleagues at other facilities when required

    Skills and Knowledge:

    • Ability to follow sanitization procedures

    Dietician

    Role Overview:

    • We are looking for a dynamic and experienced part-time Dietitian to join our team at our Somerset West facility.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert dietetic services to both inpatients and outpatients at our healthcare center.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct initial assessments of new referrals by performing comprehensive evaluations of new patients referred for nutritional therapy by reviewing their complete medical history, current health status, and assessing their dietary habits, lifestyle factors, and any specific nutritional concerns to identify the most appropriate treatment approach.
    • Develop and implement personalised treatment plans by collaborating closely with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to design individualised nutritional care plans that address the patient’s unique medical conditions.
    • Write detailed and persuasive motivation letters to medical aid providers, offering clinical justifications for the approval of oral nutritional supplements or feeds by clearly outlining the patient’s nutritional needs, health conditions, and the medical necessity of the supplements for their recovery or ongoing health maintenance.
    • Provide appropriate prescriptions for nutritional supplements or feeds
    • Regularly track and evaluate the progress of referred patients by conducting follow-up assessments, reviewing lab results, and adjusting the treatment plan as needed to ensure nutritional goals are being met 
    • Attend multidisciplinary team meetings, offering expert nutritional input to the care plan, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care, and attending family meetings when required to provide guidance and discuss the patient’s nutritional care needs with family members.
    • Ensure accurate and timely administration and billing records in accordance with healthcare regulations to facilitate proper insurance claims and reimbursement.
    • Prepare comprehensive discharge guidelines and reports for patients, including post-discharge nutritional care instructions, summarising their treatment, progress, and ongoing nutritional needs, ensuring that the patient, their families and their caregivers are well-informed and able to continue care effectively after discharge.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors of Science in Dietetics
    • Malpractice insurance
    • Registered with HPCSA 

    Experience & Knowledge:

    • Experience with adult patients
    • Proven experience with neurological, medical, and surgical patient care
    • Strong expertise in enteral feeding
    • Previous experience in an acute/sub-acute setting
    • Fluency in Afrikaans is essential

    Kitchen Sculler

     Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:

    • To ensure that the kitchen is clean and tidy, equipment is clean and dustbins have been emptied
    • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans
    • Ensure fridges, windows and walls are clean at all times
    • Remove waste, placing it in designated pickup areas
    • Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition
    • To adhere to the health and hygiene standards in the kitchen

    Experience and knowledge:

    • 6 months experience in cleaning, preferably in hotels and restaurants (advantageous)

    Qualifications:

    • Relevant culinary qualifications would be advantageous
