Role Purpose

A client is looking for a strong Snr UI Developer who will be the go to guy between the design team and full-stack engineers by assisting with bringing the design-work to life. You should live and breathe front-end, have a deep understanding of UI and UX principles.

Responsibilities:

• Help build new website and product interfaces
• Work closely with product designers on design system to create consistent experiences
• Identify, build and own reusable UI components 
• Identify specific issues in user experience and provide recommendations and codified solutions to influence the design
• Introduce and maintain best practices and standards for accessibility and cross-browser

           compatibility

• Maintain flexible and integrated documentation for the patterns and components

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in IT
• Highly proficient in front-end development web programming languages such as HTML,
  CSS and JavaScript
• Experience with CSS preprocessors (SASS, LESS or Stylus) and able to write code in
  these languages
• Have experience with at least one or more CSS frameworks (Bootstrap, Material etc)
• Understanding of CMS (Content Management Systems)
• Experience with responsive and adaptive design and a good understanding of key design principles
• Well versed in (re-usable) component based development
• Working knowledge of Sketch (design application)
• Aware of web performance considerations
• Experience with agile development methodologies and working in iterations
• Good understanding of version control systems (Git or alike)

Responsibilities:

• First line support for the team with regards to queries from the business (internal and external queries).
• Write SQL to facilitate data extract requests received from stakeholders.
• Analyse incident requests and share findings with the team in an effort to reduce queries over time.
• Generate monthly extracts.
• Update the SQL for the monthly extracts as required.
• Maintain the SQL repository and ensure that the process is documented in Collab.
• If a query is a production defect, assist with the analysis, documentation and prioritization of the defect.
• Monitor the data warehouse for integration failures.
• Analyse failures and assist with the prioritization of the resolution.
• Proactively identify improvements that can be made in the support space 
• Manage and maintain the team Collab pages as relates to Support.

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in IT
• Data analysis and SQL skills and experience.
• Experience working in Retail Investment Management 
• Fundamental analytical and conceptual skills.
• Excellent documentation skills.
