    Night Supervisor

    Job Summary:

    • The night Supervisor will accept full overall accountability for the hospital at night ensuring a safe environment for all patients,staff and stakeholders.
    • The incumbment will assume responsibility for all reasonable operational activities in the absence of other Managers ensuring that all Company policies and procedures,and all legal requirements ,are adhered to.
    • Accordingly,the incumbment will be accountable for capacity development mentoring and training of night staff.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience

    • Nursing degree/diploma
    • Current SANC registration
    • Any management or relenant business education
    • Updated ACLS/PALS/ATLS/BLS
    • 5+ years’experience at managerial /supervisory level
    • Experience within private hospital environment(preferable)
    • Computer literate

    Minimum Duties:

    • Implement the nursing strategy in order to drive the strategic nursing plan and align night staff outputs accordingly, assess patient acuity at all wards during the night and determine resource needs for the following day.
    • Monitor the safety and care delivered by staff, including agency staff, identify quality improvement and implement opportunities to improve quality service delivery at night.
    • Conduct regular ward rounds, including monitoring equipment, audits and patient environment checks.
    • Co-ordinate after hour admissions and ensure effective recordkeeping and handover the next morning.
    • Issue medication and manage the stock levels of Emergency Pharmacy Cupboard.

    Pharmacist

    Job Summary:

    • To dispense and issue drugs and stock in accordance with the scope of practice of a pharmacist as laid down in the statutory regulations of the relevant Acts.
    • In addition, controlling and monitoring the storage of all medicines in Pharmacy and the hospital. ensuring that quality pharmaceutical services, financial objectives, legislative compliance, and people management requirements are achieved to the required standards.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree.
    • Registration with the South African Pharmacy Counsil (SAPC) as a pharmacist.
    • Computer proficiency- SAP and Unisolve.
    • 1 to 2 years’ experience in a retail pharmacy or a private hospital setting.

    Minimum Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Ensure safety of patients by providing advice on the appropriate selection, dosage and drug interaction, with due consideration to potential side effects and therapeutic effects of medication.
    • Record medication per legislative requirements
    • Validate the medical prescription and ensure the availability of funds (for medical aid patients)
    • Dispense medication according to Good Pharmacy Practice guidelines and advise patient on the use of generic medicine preparations
    • Record and monitor repeat scripts
    • Assume the role of custodian for the management of schedule 6 drugs per legislation
    • Proactively communicate with Nursing staff as it relates to issues identified on prescriptions
    • Ensure the correct charging for in-patients and ensure medication is timeously issued
    • Supervise the Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant on mixing and compounding of medication
    • Ensure accurate filing of prescriptions or patient records where required
    • Capture prescription returns / credits from the wards
    • Promote medication safety and facilitate medication information to all patients and departments
    • Ensure proper medication waste management protocols are followed
    • Conduct cyclical and full stock takes
    • Monitor the usage of schedule 5 and 6 drugs and communicate / record when the stock levels are low
    • Check, monitor and control stock levels of ethical products
    • Liaise with relevant individuals in units with regards to medication expiry dates, slow moving items. Stock levels, storage conditions, drug registers and other pharmaceutical related services in wards and units
    • Ensure all stock received from suppliers are per quality standards

    Ward clerk - Medical & Surgical ward

    Job Summary:

    • To provide administrative support to the Unit Manager (and the Nursing team) of an allocated unit thereby contributing to the overall success of the unit and meeting both internal and external customer expectations.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • NQF 5 / Relevant Nursing Qualification.
    • Computer literacy.
    • SAP experience.
    • Stock Control.
    • ICD 10 Code and CPT coding ability.
    • 2 years administration experience.

    Added Advantage:

    • Healthcare professional qualification.
    • Finance-related qualification.

    Minimum Job Requirements:

    • Maintain the patient register (Patient list and white board) to ensure it is up-to-date and accurate by documenting admissions and discharges to the unit – this involves reconciling the white board with the SAP system every 2 to 4 hours.
    • Establish and maintain an accurate filing system of all relevant documentation (patients’ documents, minutes and audit documents, for example).
    • Print new checklists at the beginning of each month for fridges, emergency blood, emergency trolley and environmental purposes.
    • Order stationery (bulk) on allocated days and inform Unit Manager when there is a problem with the availability of stationery.
    • Perform any reasonable administration task on instruction from the Unit Manager.
    • Compare number of patients in allocated unit with Occupancy list and make necessary adjustments (e.g. bed movements, transfer of patients to another unit and discharge of patients) on the approved system.
    • Capture all materials (surgical and ethical consumables) from charge sheets / mobile billing.
    • Capture all services i.e. gases (oxygen) and equipment from all charge sheets on the approved system.
    • Assist in conducting cycle counts for the ward and manage stock credits to the Pharmacy.
    • Ensuring adequate stock levels in ward.
    • Ensure suitable arrangements are made in terms of patient transfers.
    • Ensure that all patients are discharged on the system and compile files with complete patient details.

    Case Manager- Mafikeng

    • Minimize financial risk by effectively managing patient stay.
    • Communicate daily statistics with Billings regarding number of files with case management and with Billings, to progress these files through the system as quickly as possible and to achieve the discharge to final bill target. Resolve queries related to short payments by Medical Scheme, in conjunction with the Collections Department.

    Patient Services Manager

    Job summary:

    • To plan, organize and execute the revenue cycle management at a hospital facility. The incumbent manages a team of specialist that contribute to hospital finances through accurate billing and risk mitigation processes.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:  

    • Bachelor’s Degree with Anatomy and Physiology.  
    • Current SANC registration.
    • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role in private healthcare.

    Minimum Job Requirements:  

    • Deliver on the hospital’s revenue cycle management operating plan.
    • Inspect work performed in the revenue cycle management team and ensure work is performed according to CHG quality standards.

    • Review existing processes and suggest innovative ideas to improve and streamline processes to drive efficiencies and minimise redundancy.
    • Ensure the development, alignment, mapping and implementation of end-to-end standard operating procedures / processes.

    • Ensure revenue and collections targets are achieved by effectively the department.
    • Monitor and ensure WIP (Work-in-Progress) is within the agreed upon periods.

    • Conduct daily EOC (End of Case) reconciliation to ensure billings are done within the allotted timeframes per funder standards.
    • Ensure case managers follow proper coding protocols to reduce rejection rates.
    • Ensure case managers maintain an up-to-date register of length of stay and update the funders regularly to ensure all services rendered are paid for.
    • Develop and implement admissions process and protocols and ensure the adherence of all admissions staff to maintain standards.
    • Ensure that all files requested and utilised are in accordance with CHG standards.
    • Review services (together with relevant stakeholders) on SAP to ensure optimisation of billings of services.
    • Analyse data trends relating to rejections and short payments.
    • Lead and drive the accurate and business billing process to ensure Patient Services metric targets are achieved.

    Laundry Assistants x3

    Job Summary

    • Maintain an adequate supply of clean and infection free linen to all CHG hospitals by washing, sorting and cleaning laundry and linen.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • Qualification equivalent to NQF level 5.
    • 1-2 years experience in laundry operations.
    • Experience within a private hospital environment.

    Minimum Job Requirements:

    • Follow Laundry, CHG and Health and Safety standards in the execution of work 
    • Receive, sort soiled linen and laundry items 
    • Treat soiled linen per standards (differentiating between different categories) when applicable 
    • Maintain records of damaged or condemned linen
    • follow sanitation and infection control guidelines when cleaning, sorting and washing linen and laundry 
    • Correctly operate or utilise laundry equipment and report any issues to the shift team lead or Laundry manager 
    • Sort, wash, dry and fold all linen and related items for the day, ensuring daily targets are reached 
    • Operate Laundry machinery and equipment per manufacturer
    • Ensure the Laundry facility remains clean at all times 
    • Perform other duties as assigned
    • Stock laundry supplies as required 
    • Cleaning and maintenance of the laundry area and equipment 
    • Pack and wrap up linen and other laundry items for pickup with relevant identifiable tags visible.
