Key Responsibilities:

• Analysis of the technical specifications and verification of the quality requirements of the supplies;
• Management and dissemination of global expediting processes.
• Interface with suppliers for the definition of supply quality control plans;
• Plan and coordinate inspections at suppliers, directly or through external inspectors to verify the achievement of the main production milestones.
• To manage contracts and relations with external inspectors, including the selection of inspectors, the review of inspection documents, their rating.
• Update the digital platforms with information on the progress of the project related to the supplies;
• Disseminate the lessons learned and promote the use of best practices as a reference point for the Expediting Units in the countries;
• Keep the Project Team and top management informed on the state of the art and any critical issues affecting the supplies;
• Preparation of reports for the Top Management

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or Renewable Energy
• A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in Supply Chain, Project Management engineering, previous experience in the sector as Product Quality Engineer / Inspector Coordinator / Inspector / Expediting Manager are considered a plus

Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of the energy sector;
• Knowledge of the main electrical and mechanical components of Wind, Solar and BESS systems;
• Knowledge of the main components of an electrical substation;
• Knowledge of the MS Office package (Excel, Word and PowerPoint);
• Knowledge of the main Project Management tools;
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production as well as quality processes;

What you will do:

• Perform mechanical, instrumentation & control and electrical systems and equipment troubleshooting, in cooperation with the O&M Wind Competence Center
• Root cause analysis, troubleshooting and manage recovery of wind plant major failures.
• Statistical monitoring, analysis and reporting of failures or possible defects, both in technical and economic terms.
• Develop specific troubleshooting process documents for each type of component affecting production in the wind farm project.
• Manage and monitor technical specifications of Wind Farm services. Responsible for deadlines and quality of technical support.
• Technical support to supporting units to validate spare parts compatibility, to identify auxiliaries of main components  and to analyze failure in replaced materials.
• Develop processes on wind predictive and corrective maintenance
• Supervise on-site tests of predictive maintenance and take responsibility for correct process execution.
• Supervise tests of new versions of wind components and control systems
• Coordinate the implementation of equipment technical improvements in cooperation with Operational Efficiency team and Wind O&M Global Support.
• Coordinate contracts for inspection services and installation of retrofits and measuring equipment.
• Support in drafting tender specification for framework and maintenance agreements, in defining the list of bidders and in bid evaluation.
• Support and represent Enel Green Power South Africa (PTY) Ltd and O&M in technical meetings with technicians, manufacturers, certifiers, etc.
• Support HSEQ in the analysis and validation of safety and environmental plans, processes and procedures

Qualifications

Who you are:

• Electrical/ Mechanical Engineer (ECSA Pr. Eng. or equivalent) or Technologist (ECSA Pr. Technologist)
• At least 4-6 years of experience in the electrical and maintenance industry. Strong background in the energy sector, preferably in     renewable (wind) or rotating generation units.
• At least 2 years of experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of plants.
• Electrical/ Mechanical / Industrial Engineering Degree or equivalent.

What we search in you:

What you will do:

• Support the O&M managers (Solar, Wind and Maintenance) to define the project baseline for planning and budget. Create the Work Breakdown Structure.
• Work within O&M teams to track the progress of each project and to provide Planning and financial analysis that allows the O&M managers to meet operational targets.
• Provide CAPEX and OPEX plan/forecasts  
• Provide budget analysis (planned versus actual), including drivers and actions for improvement Monitoring and analysis on budgets, costing and forecast.
• Timeously identify areas of risk in relation to spend vs budget
• Present budgets, analysis, forecasts and risks to management and shareholders
• Provide operational issues, planning, milestone, financial detailed and aggregated data reporting
• Interface with other functions (as Administration Finance and Control)
• Contribute to the growth and development of the overall Project Planner & Controller Practices
• Provide on-job training to O&M personnel on budgeting, costing & forecasting

Who you are:

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce and or accounting, Economics, Finance (or a higher diploma with at least 5 years of experience in a finance/analysis/planning position)

What you will do:

• Assures Energy Management activities for the Country and supports analysis on new business development opportunities with reference to commercial risk and eventual market exposure, in relation with Business Development and Regulatory Dpts. and others.
• Relates with the TSO (Eskom) for all the themes related to grid code and despatching of EGP SA’s plants.
• Assures the management of all the PPAs contract for each of EGP SA’s plant in operation, providing daily production forecast to Eskom and manages the relation with Eskom for all the commercial issues.
• Analyses and monitors eventual commodity risk of the managed portfolio.
• Collects measurements of energy produced and consumed on the competent grid.
• Assures energy budget and monthly assures payment and invoicing for purchased and sold energy, determining
• incomes, costs, and energy margin, also for accounting closing purposes, managing the relation with the Single Buyer offices (Eskom).
• Assures periodical reporting. Maintains structured and periodical relations with central Energy Management units for best practice sharing activities and business share.
• Manages all activities related to development of projects for obtaining CERs titles, or CO2 allowances, or titles to valorize on the voluntary market.
• Supports Regulatory Dpt. for analyzing the impact of new regulation.
• Supports central EGP Energy Management Dpt. for the analysis on new business opportunities in the African Continent.

Qualifications

Who you are:

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, mathematics, Engineering, or technical-scientific disciplines.
• Excellent knowledge of national and international contracts in the energy sector, with specific focus on PPA contracts used under the REIPPP programme.
• Detailed knowledge of REIPPP programme in South Africa
• Knowledge of electricity supply agreements
• Characteristics and composition of power prices, experience on power pools and on system marginal price pricing methods.
• Technical knowledge of power plants is preferable, knowledge of renewable plants (wind and solar).
• Experience on plants dispatching, grid management, metering systems.
• A minimum of 5 years of work experience is required at least in linked sectors

What we search in you:

• Good knowledge of math, statistics, quantitative methods of analysis.
• Strong knowledge of basic software such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point). WB programming or advanced use of Excel (i.e., macro) is a plus.
• Knowledge of technical software is a plus (data provider as Bloomberg or Reuters, software for analysis as Risk, statistical software).
• The candidate will be trained on specific Energy Management software used in EGP and will use the same and customized software in EGP SA
• Working in team and availability to short term abroad permanence
