    Marketing Executive

    Job Description

    • Contribute to all aspects of marketing activities, ensuring best practice marketing techniques, and communicating a clear promotional message.
    • Work with Marketing Director and Marketing Lead to draft the marketing strategy and then implement accordingly.
    • Create and issue promotional electronic newsletters (HTML & Text); implement A/B testing, measure effectiveness and adapt according to insights. Become an ‘expert’ in what constitutes an effective email campaign.
    • Develop and implement social media content plan across products and channels aligned with overall marketing strategy.
    • Maintain websites, apply SEO knowledge, and recommend ways to enhance user journey.
    • Utilize and manage digital tools (i.e. mobile app, survey tool, GA4, Hubspot, GleanIn, Canva,Adobe Suite, etc) to enhance campaigns.
    • Manage the sponsor and exhibitor promotional campaigns and contribute to campaign strategy.
    • Collaborate with the Programming team to deliver speaker, advisory board and ambassador marketing promotional packs and follow-up.
    • Support in briefing the design and production of delegate marketing materials, videos, banners, and emails.
    • Marketing administration including proof reading, delivering advertising copy, responding to enquiries, monitoring competitor activity etc.
    • Negotiate and fulfilment of barter details with appropriate media partners and associations, aligned to marketing and event strategy.
    • Liaise with external suppliers (incl. PR companies, designers, online providers, digital agencies, data houses, registration companies, printers, photographers, videographers, mailing houses, etc).
    • Support the implementation of research projects to review customer satisfaction and identify portfolio developments.
    • Provide onsite support to ensure the smooth running of marketing related activity (i.e. Registration, press office, research, placement of branding and materials; sales stand).
    • Assist in the delivery of all planned campaigns.
    • Create tracking links and maintain tracking master files per project
    • Assist in testing and monitoring active marketing programs with developing ways to improve those campaigns.

    Qualifications

    • Native French speaker - advantageous
    • Tertiary qualification (Media, Marketing related).
    • SA residence / visa and ability to work. We will not be able to relocate anyone (Cape Town specific)
    • 2+ years in a marketing executive role ideally involving lead-generation.
    • Experience in the use of databases in both mass and targeted direct marketing campaigns
    • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, including MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with and relate to all levels both within and outside the organization.
    • Excellent negotiation and relationship building skills.

    Marketing Operations Manager

    Job Description

    The role:

    • We are seeking a results-driven Marketing Operations Manager to optimise B2B promotional campaigns and strengthen the effectiveness of our marketing function across events, media, and advisory services.
    • This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves process optimization, and is passionate about data, automation, and driving measurable results. Working closely with the Marketing Director, Marketing team, and Commercial teams, you will be the operational backbone of marketing execution – ensuring seamless workflows, sharp insights, and systems that scale.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Marketing Automation & CRM
    • Own and optimise HubSpot (campaign reporting, workflows, lead scoring, segmentation, data hygiene, and systems administration)
    • Design, implement, and maintain marketing automation workflows to drive engagement, lead nurture, and conversion
    • Align automation and CRM processes with the full buyer journey – from acquisition to retention
    • Ensure seamless system integrations (including registration platforms, event apps, and APIs)

    Data, Analytics & Insights

    • Act as the guardian of customer data – ensuring data accuracy, compliance, enrichment, and segmentation
    • Build and maintain dashboards to track campaign performance, pipeline contribution, and ROI
    • Run advanced queries to create highly targeted and segmented campaigns
    • Deliver actionable insights to improve conversion rates, audience engagement, and revenue growth
    • Support CRO strategies with A/B testing and landing page optimisation
    • Campaign Operations
    • Support the execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns across events, media, and digital platforms
    • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to streamline lead management strategies
    • Monitor and report on campaign performance, identifying opportunities for process optimisation and scalability
    • Reduce manual tasks by implementing automation and system-driven efficiencies
    • Technology & Systems
    • Manage marketing systems (HubSpot, registration platforms, event apps) to ensure they are integrated and fully optimised
    • Contribute to website optimisation, platform enhancements, and other technology solutions
    • Stay on top of new marketing technologies and best practices, making recommendations for adoption

    Qualifications

    • 3–5 years’ experience in marketing operations, campaign operations, or CRM-focused roles, preferably in B2B events, SaaS, or media
    • Based in Cape Town with a valid working permit
    • Strong understanding of marketing funnels, CRM systems, automation tools, and data management
    • Proficiency in HubSpot (workflows, reporting, automation) essential.
    • Proficiency in data visualisation tools (Hubspot Dashboards, Power BI, LookerStudio)
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
    • Excellent project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
    • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, PECR, POPIA)
    • Experience with event registration platforms and apps (preferred)
    • Familiarity with attribution modelling and campaign-level tracking

    Conference Producer

    Job Description

    • Research - Carry out at least 20 buy/sell side research calls with the target market to understand the issues and challenges the programme needs to address; Read at least 5 articles a week to keep up to date with what is happening in the sector; Create a comprehensive set of summary notes that will translate into a compelling agenda.
    • Agenda Development - Confirm the required number of speakers in the agenda (30-50 depending on # days) at least 16 weeks out from event date. Pass 5-7 referrals per event to the sponsorship sales team.
    • Execution - At least 80% speaker engagement in the run up to the event; Obtain session analytics around the top performing topics to create next year's focus. 8+ NPS/Customer satisfaction scores.
    • Overall - Overall increase of level of learning and sector knowledge in the next 12 months.
    • Collaborate and work closely with the sales, marketing, content and operations teams to help deliver a successful program and event

    Qualifications

    • Event programming experience advantageous
    • Diploma/Degree in Communications, Journalism, Law or Politics
    • 3-5 years working experience
