    Assistant Store Manager Contingent - iStore Pretoria North

    Job Description

    • iStore is the home of everything Apple, and Africa’s largest Apple Premium Reseller. With a retail footprint of more than 41 physical and online stores across Africa, we provide expert advice, Apple Authorised Repairs, business and education solutions, training, and technical support for everything Apple.
    • We are looking for a passionate and driven Assistant Store Manager to support the leadership of our Pretoria North region. This role is responsible for helping drive store performance, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and developing a high-performing retail team.
    • Working closely with the Store Manager, the Assistant Store Manager will help lead daily operations, ensure operational excellence, and inspire the team to achieve and exceed sales, customer experience, and development targets.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the Store Manager in leading and motivating the store team to achieve sales targets, KPIs, and operational excellence
    • Deliver an exceptional Apple-inspired customer experience and ensure the store becomes the go-to destination for anything Apple
    • Assist in managing daily store operations, including stock management, merchandising, and store standards
    • Coach and develop team members through regular feedback, training, and performance management
    • Ensure the team maintains strong product knowledge, particularly across Apple products and services
    • Monitor store performance and assist with implementing strategies to improve sales and customer engagement
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational processes
    • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that supports growth and development
    • Support the Store Manager in driving staff productivity, engagement, and retention
    • Be willing to float to other iStores in the area if needed

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric (Grade 12) – required
    • Tertiary qualification in Business, Retail Management, or related field – advantageous
    • 3+ years’ experience managing or supervising retail sales teams (10+ staff)
    • Experience working in high-value retail environments
    • Strong retail operations knowledge, including stock management, sales reporting, and store standards
    • Proven leadership and people management experience
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and adapt quickly to change
    • Strong customer service orientation and passion for delivering exceptional experiences
    • Matrix management capability to collaborate across different business functions

    Field Visual Merchandiser - Cape Town

    Role Overview

    • We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Field Visual Merchandiser to support our retail stores by ensuring consistent execution of merchandising strategies and in-store standards.
    • This role involves regular store visits, collaboration with internal teams, and hands-on implementation of merchandising plans to enhance the customer experience and drive sales performance.

    Skills & Experience Required

    • 1–2 years’ experience in visual merchandising, retail execution, or store support (preferred)
    • Strong understanding of retail merchandising principles
    • High attention to detail and strong visual execution standards
    • Ability to work independently in a field-based role
    • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
    • Comfortable with reporting, photography standards, and admin tasks
    • Willingness to travel regularly within the region

    Key Responsibilities

    Visual Merchandising Execution

    • Conduct regular physical store visits
    • Implement approved merchandising plans across tables, wall bays, and accessory zones
    • Maintain Apple compliance across all displays and fixtures
    • Support senior Field Visual Merchandisers during store visits when required
    • Ensure marketing displays, signage, and price guides are accurate and up to date
    • Support demo placement, consolidation, and optimisation

    Profitability & Business Growth

    • Identify stock gaps and escalate issues within agreed timelines
    • Ensure correct signage placement for 3PP promotional activity
    • Optimise trading density to support accessories growth
    • Maintain brand and sub-brand integrity across all stores
    • Ensure sales floors are fully utilised and visually refreshed
    • Apply store-specific insights, demographics, and trends to merchandising decisions

    Reporting & Insights

    • Submit same-day End-of-Day (EOD) reports with high-quality photographic evidence
    • Maintain demo tracking sheets and update within 24 hours of any changes
    • Provide weekly insights and accessory trend feedback to stores
    • Compile and submit monthly comparative shopping feedback
    • Assist with New Product Introduction (NPI) accessory preparation

    Administration & Planning

    • Adhere to iStore APR and APP merchandising guidelines
    • Create and manage POA (Proof of Action) documents for store task completion
      Partner with the VM Manager to design and roll out creative, uniform merchandising plans
    • Plan accessories and demo layouts for new store openings and existing stores
    • Create, update, and distribute accurate 3PP price guides
    • Support administrative tasks related to new store openings

    Team Collaboration

    • Cover store visits for senior Field VMs when required
    • Participate in store openings, campaigns, and special projects
    • Maintain strong communication between stores, VM team, and management
    • Share regular regional insights and best practices

    Admin Manager Retail - iStore Kolonnade (PTA)

    Job Description

With a retail footprint of more than 41 physical and online stores across Africa that provide expert advice, Apple Authorised Repairs, Business, Education, training and technical support for anything and everything Apple.
    • As an iStore Admin Manager you would be responsible for Lead teams, provide supportive feedback, and ensure both team members and customers have a valued experience.
    • Your responsibilities are to ensure that the back of house iStore operations run effectively, efficiently and optimally and that overall risk to the iStore business is reduced by ensuring that all iStore policies, processes and standard operating procedures (SOP’s) are adhered to. 
    • Focus on enhancing operations and reviewing systems and processes on an ongoing basis to align with best fit for the business.

    You need to have:

    • A Completed Matric (minimum requirements)
    • Tertiary Qualification would be advantageous
    • 5+ years leading teams in a complex and high turnover environment
    • Retail operations experience and knowledge
    • Matrix management capability to ensure co-operation across business functions
    • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, desire to learn quickly, being agile and nimble whilst thinking strategically
    • Proven track record of excellent customer experience
    • Proven track record of driving Store targets and results
