    Patient Experience Manager

    Job Description

    The Group is focused on providing specialist-orientated, multidisciplinary services across the continuum of care in such a way that the Group will be regarded as the most respected and trusted provider of healthcare services by patients, medical practitioners, funders and regulators of healthcare in each of its markets.

    MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

    To ensure that all functions at the hospital are performed in a manner that optimizes patient experience and to be responsible for the marketing of the hospital to the public

    KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

    • Utilise patient experience index data to improve patient experience
    • Manage overall patient experience within the hospital
    • Manage patient experience campaigns
    • Manage key account and stakeholder relations
    • Manage and control patient experience finances
    • Lead and Manage the people in the Patient Experience Function
    • Manage marketing and communication initiatives
    • Ability to communicate with patients in different South African languages

    Required Education

    ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

    •  Grade 12

    DESIRED EXPERIENCE

    • Tertiary qualification in Marketing and/or Public Relations

    Required Experience

    ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENC

    •  5 years’ experience in service-oriented environment/operations

    DESIRED EXPERIENCE

    • Experience in the healthcare and service industry

    Required Job Skills And Knowledge

    • Knowledge, understanding and application of client satisfaction best practices
    • Competent in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
    • Knowledge and application of Mediclinic Marketing Strategies, Policies and Procedures
    • The utilisation and application of Patient Experience related Administration and Survey Systems (e.g. Press Ganey)

    Clinical Technologist: Renal

    Job Description

    MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

    • To deliver safe, comprehensive and quality patient care, with specific reference to renal disease treatment and education according to the Scope of Practice and Renal Care policies and standard procedures.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

    • Deliver quality patient care in collaboration with a multi-professional team
    • Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety
    • Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment
    • Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all patient interventions
    • Create a learning environment that builds staff competence
    • Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged

    Required Education

    ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

    • Degree / Diploma in Clinical Technology (Nephrology)

    DESIRED EDUCATION

    • None

    Required Experience

    ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

    • Clinical technologist (Nephrology) registered with the HPCSA with a minimum of 2 years Dialysis experience

    DESIRED EXPERIENCE

    • Clinical technologist (Nephrology) registered with the HPCSA

    Required Job Skills And Knowledge

    • Acute dialysis treatment
    • Basic Life Support trained (ACLS, ATLS, PALS training for specialised wards)
    • Billing procedures
    • Chronic dialysis treatment
    • Clinical record keeping, procedures and protocols
    • Computer literacy: MS Office and Dialysis Programme
    • Develop/ modify a integrated, comprehensive patient based care plan and dialysis prescription
    • Dialysis machine and water purification system operation
    • Infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols
    • Nephrology
    • Patient assessment
    • Patient Experience principles
    • Pharmacology
    • Relevant Nephrology patient care legislation
    • Risk identification
    • Scientific Clinical and patient care process
