    Finance Manager (51500)

    Job Description

    • We are looking for an experienced Financial Manager to join our client in the FMCG manufacturing sector.
    • The successful candidate will oversee the full finance function, including accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and team leadership.
    • This role requires ERP experience and strong hands-on financial management expertise.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and reporting
    • Prepare monthly management accounts, forecasts, budgets, and cash flow projections
    • Manage and review creditors reconciliations
    • Handle VAT and Income Tax calculations and submissions to SARS
    • Ensure compliance with IFRS, Companies Act, Tax Laws, and internal policies
    • Support audits, statutory reporting, and annual budget preparation
    • Manage liquidity, payables, receivables, and foreign payments
    • Lead and develop a finance team  
    • Drive financial process improvements, cost efficiencies, and business intelligence projects

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Honours preferred)
    • CA (SA) advantageous
    • Accredited to a professional accounting body (SAICA)
    • Minimum of 4 years' experience in FMCG / Manufacturing as a Financial Manager
    • Hands-on experience with management accounts, VAT & Income Tax, and creditors recons
    • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, reporting standards, and ERP systems
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

    Desirable

    • Manufacturing finance experience with costing methodology and variance analysis
    • Experience with SAP ideal
    • Ability to start immediately will be highly advantageous
