    Learner Programmer - Ladybrand

    Minimum requirements

    • A three-year tertiary qualification in IT software development or in the final year of studying towards such a qualification or Grade 12 with 3 years practical experience in IT software development.

    Skills

    • Sound communication and language skills in Afrikaans and English.;
    • Exceptional computer literacy;
    • Strong numerical ability;
    • Strong organisational skills;
    • Must be able to work under pressure;
    • Must be able to maintain confidentiality;
    • Excellent people skills and the ability to function in a team;
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Writing and maintenance of IT programmes and systems;
    • Delivery of IT related services to management and the OVK Group;
    • Maintenance of relevant administration.

    Administrative Officer

    Requirements:

    • Grade 12;
    • FAIS Accreditation (NQF5 & RE5) completed;
    • At least 2 - 3 years’ experience in a crop insurance environment;
    • Experiene relating to short term insurance specific software will be an advantage;
    • Experience in building relationships with stakeholders;
    • Valid drivers license.

    Skills:

    • Sound communication and language skills in Afrikaans and English;
    • Computer literate (MS Office);
    • Strong numerical skills/Accounting background or exposure;
    • Strong analytical skills;

    • Logical approach to problem solving;

    Responsibilities:

    • Monitor and control the administrative function;
    • Monthly reporting including crop summary reports and directors’ reports;
    • Checking and ensuring compliance regarding insurance policies and procedures;
    • Monitor and control quotation processes and claims function;
    • Responsible for premium payments and timeous management and allocation of claims monies;
    • Liaison with Insurers, including underwriting queries and claims settlement;
    • Supervise and problem solving of admin function
    • Adhoc tasks.

    • 2 – 3 years experience in an agricultural environment;
    • Valid drivers license.

    • Strong leadership skills.

    Responsibilities:

    • Supporting management of administration;
    • Support to promote market share;
    • Supporting management to personnel matters;
    • Supporting management to stock control;
    • Supporting management and maintenance of assets.
