    Professional Advisor: Private Practice

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Assist with the Implementation of Private Practice Management System in line with Council strategy.
    • Assist in the development and review and compliance of sectional standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies and guidelines and tools.
    • Contribute to the development, review nursing practice regulations.
    • Contribute to Development and management of Private Database database/Register and manage Private Practice Register.
    • Prepare for inspections in line with Policy and SOPs
    • Conduct routine and risk-based inspection to Private Nurse Practices.
    • Assess and enforce compliance to the Nursing Act and its regulations.
    • Compile and provide reports to line manager and to relevant Committees of the Council.
    • Perform ad hoc tasks as delegated by the line manager/ supervisor.
    • Stakeholder Liaison.
    • Facilitate submission of Quality Improvements Plans (QIPs) by private practices inspected.
    • Provide support to Council Committees.
    • Internal Controls / Risk Managemenet
    • Manage resources (human, financial, physical and information.
    • Perform ad hoc tasks as delegated by the line manager/ supervisor; and

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND ADDED ADVANTAGE REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 12
    • Undergraduate Nursing Degree
    • Proof of registration with SANC as a General Nurse and Midwife
    • Additional qualification in clinical nursing specialisation (Advanced Midwifery or Critical Care or Clinical Critical Health Assessment, Treatment and Care)
    • Valid Annual Practice Certificate (APC)
    • Valid Driver’s License
    • 5 years Nursing or Professional Practice working experience in a nursing practice environment.
    • Minimum of 3 years practice experience as Clinical Specialist in Advanced Midwifery or Critical Care or Clinical Health Assessment, Treatment and Care.

    ADDED ADVANTAGE REQUIREMENTS

    • Previous working experience in managing a Private Nurse Practice.
    • Previous working experience in conduction of Inspections or audits.

    Professional Advisor: Inspectorate X4

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Contribute to the development of the sectional operational plan with clear targets.
    • Contribute to implementing the sectional operational plan
    • Contribute to the development of policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) within the Inspectorate section.
    • Contribute to development of the inspection schedule/plan in line with the guidelines or SOPs.
    • Contribute to the development, review of legislations and nursing practice regulations.
    • Assess and enforce compliance to the Nursing Act and its regulations.

    • An additional qualification in Nephrology Nursing / Paediatric Nursing/ Mental Health Nursing/ Operating Theatre Nursing, Orthopaedic Nursing
    • Minimum of 5 years nursing practice experience.
    • Minimum of 3 years practice experience as Clinical specialist in Nephrology Nursing/ Paediatric Nursing/ Mental Health Nursing/ Operating Theatre Nursing/ Orthopaedic Nursing
    • Valid Annual Practice Certificate.
    • Valid Driver’s license.

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS

    • Must be prepared to travel extensively.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

    Professional Advisor: Preliminary Investigations

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Conduct Preliminary Investigation
    • Make presentation to the Preliminary Investigation Committee for consideration.
    • Conduct investigation site visits/ inspection in loco and maintain required levels of professionalism, integrity, confidence and patience as required by the SANC.
    • Manage all case documentation and information, ensuring confidentiality is maintained over all case records in terms of SANC procedure.
    • Assist in compiling Committee and Council reports.
    • Implement Committee and Council resolutions.
    • Liaise and consult with stakeholders maintaining high standards of customer /Client service.
    • Participated in various meetings in professional manner e.g. committee meetings, staff meetings, stakeholders’ meetings, inspection in loco etc.
    • Supervise and update administrative tasks such as, case documents, inspection documents, correspondence etc, in the prescribed manner.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of Annual Performance Plan, Annual Operational Plan and Departmental strategy.
