    Part-time Lecturers

    Critical Performance Areas

    • Preparing and conducting lectures and practicals.
    • Advanced presentation skills.
    • Proven ability in using teaching technology.
    • Setting and marking of all assessments.
    • Participating in departmental meetings and subject meetings.
    • General administration such as capturing test and assignment marks on ITS, and uploading documents on my TUTor.
    • Student consultation.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Master (NQF Level 9 ) or Doctorate Degree (NQF Level 10) relating to the field of study below.
    • Hospitality Management and Food Operation Management
    • Study record with major subjects.
    • At least three years’ teaching experience at a tertiary institution will be required or relevant industry-related experience.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and other computer programs.
    • Full proficiency in English is a prerequisite.
    • Completion of a TUT License to Teach programme will be compulsory

    Associate Professor - Electrical Engineering

    Critical Performance Areas

    • To present lectures and assessments of students in related subjects in undergraduate to postgraduate programs.
    • Lead quality teaching and learning with technology, such as comfortable use of the Learning Management Systems (LMS).
    • Lead subject curriculum development and subject curriculum development and/or implementation committees.

    Minimum Requirement
    Academic qualifications:

    • A relevant Doctorate Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering or Software Engineering with a research specialization in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Embedded Systems, or Software Engineering or Robotics.

    Experience:

    • Five (5) years relevant experience at Senior Lecturer level.
    • Record of accomplishment of successful supervision of postgraduate students at least at Doctorate Level.

    • Evidence in leading research activities in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Embedded systems.

    Associate Professors - Mathematics and Statistics

    The Faculty of the Arts and Design in the Department of Interior Design has part-time positions for Lecturers at the Arts Campus for the following modules:

    • African Interior Design I & II

    Critical Performance Areas

    • Lecturing: Preparing and conducting lectures. Employ creative and interactive teaching methods to foster student engagement and learning.
    • Use of Teaching Technology: Incorporate institutional digital teaching platforms and tools into teaching practices.
