    Creative Director

    Duties

    Creative Excellence 

    • Drive the overall quality of the creative product whilst maintaining accountability to client objectives.
    • Establishes a culture where powerful advertising combines with creativity and quality.
    • Strive to meet the goal of the Creative Circle points as defined annually.
    • The Avatar through-the-line approach is supported by you and this sentiment is filtered down to your staff.
    • Ensure the quality of work is maintained/improved under your leadership.
    • Creative work that is presented is fully thought-out solutions rather than options (including detailed thinking, budgets, timings)
    • Produce TV ads that rank amongst the most-liked ads in each emerging and developed market.
    • Devising an award drive to produce better proactive work and ensuring that this drive is more efficiently run.
    • Gain respect from the client and develop a valuable relationship with the internal teams.
    • Create integrated “solutions” as opposed to “one-off” ads.
    • Work with strategy and media at reviews as well as client presentations.
    • Clarify the exact purpose/deliverables of a brief before developing work.
    • Create a culture of ‘solutions not problems’ within the creative department.

    Talent Management:

    • Manage, grow, develop, and empower direct team reports.
    • Contribute by effecting innovation that builds a positive agency culture and work environment through knowledge sharing, mentorship, and guidance.

    Requirements

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Matric
    • Diploma / Degree in a related field
    • Must have a strong art direction or copywriting background with an educated eye for design
    • 10+ Years of experience and 5+ years in leadership, as well as communication and project management skills
    • Working knowledge of graphic design and/or illustration, audio production and editing, video capture and editing, video effects production, 3D design, animation and web design
    • Superior organizational, customer service, leadership, communication, writing and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines
    • Be responsible and a self-starter
    • Must be committed to working in a dynamic and supportive team environment
    • Must have a way with force and grace when contrary views are expressed
    • Experienced in second-level intuition – “Yes, it looks good, but will it work?”

    Payroll & Finance Administrator

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time.
    • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Manage employee benefits and deductions.
    • Prepare and submit payroll-related reports to management and regulatory bodies.
    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
    • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
    • Manage accounts payable and receivable.
    • Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
    • Job accounting and reconciliation up to job closure
    • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll and financial operations.
    • Utilize WorkBook and Sage 300 for payroll and financial management tasks.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll and financial administration.
    • Proficiency in WorkBook and Sage 300.
    • Strong understanding of payroll regulations and financial reporting standards.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Client Service Director

    • The Client Service Director is responsible for maintaining healthy business relationships with clients, ensuring operational teams provide the highest quality service for clients, and following their deliverables and business requirements.
    • This role is responsible for the overall client health and financial sustainability of the Agency by driving sustainable growth.
    • The CSD will maintain control of the client service department, displaying efficient people and leadership skills, business acumen, and exemplary work ethics.
    • This role will require creative problem-solving and change management in a high-growth, mission-driven ever-changing environment.

    CLIENT CENTRICITY AND NEW BUSINESS GROWTH

    • Manages own client portfolio whilst overseeing the account management teams' portfolios in achieving the agency's strategic goal of client service excellence.
    • Ensure the very highest levels of service excellence, and inspire a drive for creative and strategic distinction.
    • Building solid client relationships.
    • Effective management of resources (over/under burn against retainer / SOW) and profitability of retainers/projects.
    • Display entrepreneurial flair and the pursuit of revenue streams as well as a constant hunger for new business growth opportunities.
    • Play an integral part during new business pitches to the New Business Lead.

    STRATEGY, VISION AND LEADERSHIP

    • Render a professional and strategic advisory service by providing strategic input on the challenges clients face and disseminating interesting pieces relevant to client / creative / strategy.
    • Design and implement business strategies for client teams, plans, and procedures - set comprehensive goals for performance and growth.
    • Suggest policies that promote agency culture and vision.
    • Oversee the daily operation of the client teams and the work output of the internal teams.
    • Lead staff to encourage maximum performance and dedication.
    • Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting financial data in Workbook reports.
    • Compile reports for Exco in all matters of importance.

    TEAM DEVELOPMENT

    • Oversee, direct, and organize the work of the internal teams.
    • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
    • Ensure staff receive timely and appropriate training and development.
    • Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals, and administer salary adjustments.
    • Mentor staff using a supportive and collaborative approach, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, and monitor and evaluate results.
    • Attract the right talent and assist in retaining top talent.

    OPERATIONS

    • Ensure the upgrading and implementation of an appropriate system of policies, internal controls, and procedures.
    • Planned, coordinated, and executed monthly financial forecasting and performance.
    • Ensure that the business is adhering to the strategic plan, delivering status reports to key stakeholders.

    Requirements

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENT 

    • Matric.
    • Diploma / Degree in a related field.
    • Minimum 10 Years experience in a senior / leadership role preferably in the advertising industry.
    • Proven track record of success in facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing organization.
    • Experience in developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
    • Strong mentoring, and coaching experience to a team with diverse levels of expertise.
    • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
    • In-depth knowledge of the advertising industry.
