    BOM Controller - Boksburg

    Education, experience and competencies

    • Matric and relevant engineering Diploma/Degree (Electronic/Electrical Engineering)
    • 3 years of experience in BOM Control within a manufacturing/engineering industry

    Responsibilities

    • Create, update, and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) for all products, reflecting accurate components, materials, quantities, and costs.
    • Ensure BOM accuracy by reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and supplier information.
    • Collaborate with engineering, production, procurement, and quality control to gather and verify BOM data.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies or issues related to BOMs.
    • Analyze BOM data to assess material costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend alternatives.
    • Work closely with procurement to ensure the availability of materials at optimal prices.
    • Revisions & updates to BOMs resulting from design changes, engineering updates, or product improvements.
    • Communicate changes effectively to all relevant departments and stakeholders.
    • Identify opportunities to streamline BOM-related processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance efficiency.
    • Implement best practices to standardize BOM creation and maintenance procedures.
    • Provide clear and accurate BOM information to relevant teams for planning, procurement, and production purposes.
    • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure alignment between product designs and BOMs.

    SHEQ Officer

    Education, experience and competencies

    • Diploma or Degree in Safety Management, Environmental Science, Quality Management, or related field.
    • Certified Internal Auditor in ISO 9001 (essential)
    • Certified auditor ISO 14001/ISO 45001 (advantage)
    • Working knowledge of SHEQ legislation and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
    • Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in a SHEQ role, preferably in a manufacturing or electronics environment.
    • Proven experience in risk assessment, root cause analysis, and audit procedures.
    • SAMTRAC, NEBOSH, HIRA or similar certification will be an advantage.

    Responsibilities

    • Monitor, promote and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
    • Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments, and incident investigations for Booyco Head Office.
    • Conduct IOD investigations for all Booyco Sites.
    • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
    • Supervise the SHEQ Administrator.
    • Contractors’ management in terms of SHE requirements.
    • Ensure the Security Personnel is informed regarding relevant SHE processes.
    • Facilitate training programs on HSE awareness for all staff.
    • Maintain safety records and documentation in line with legal and company requirements.
    • Liaising with sites and / or branches for procurement of bulk and /or continuous PPE.
    • Provide input to annual SHEQ Budget.
    • Drive continuous SHEQ awarenesses.
    • Conduct annual and / or continuous SHEQ inductions.
    • Schedule, chair and conduct quarterly SHE Committee meetings.
    • Prepare for and provide feedback for the SHEQ Departmental meetings.
    • Ensure environmental compliance in line with national legislation and ISO 14001 standards.
    • Identify and mitigate environmental risks and promote sustainability initiatives.
    • Monitor waste management, pollution control, and resource efficiency.
    • Implement and maintain quality management systems (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001.
    • Implement and maintain the QMS through the SHEQSys systems.
    • Conduct internal audits and assist in external audits as required.
    • Prepare and Provide documentation for third party audits.
    • Support the development of SHEQ objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Monitor Manage the calibration & verification of measurement equipment & appliances.
    • Schedule and record of Regulatory equipment maintenance.
    • Oversight for the Diesel of the Standby Generator.
    • Monthly reports on calibration & verification of equipment & appliances.
    • Assist with data on EMS & OHS measurables to the SHEQ Manager.
    • Schedule and ensure that Hygiene Surveys are conducted and recorded.
    • Track and monitor Emergency Evacuation Drills.
    • Provide data on Regulatory Appointments to the SHEQ Manager.
    • Support and assist with Document Control & Electronic File structures through SHEQSys and Primary Records.
    • Conduct regular general SHE inspections and walk throughs for Booyco Head Office.
    • Develop and implement 5S internal audits, for Booyco Head Office, in a monthly cycle.
    • Ensure all Regulatory Appointments are monitored, scheduled, filled and relevant training is up to date.
    • Ensure all relevant SHE registers are kept up to date.
    • Continuous Procurement of non-stock tools.
    • Update monthly tool reconciliations sheet to finance.

    Site Supervisor - Emalahleni

    Education, experience, and competencies: 

    • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, and/or Electrical Trade (Red seal)
    • 3-5 years of experience in a technician role within the mining industry.
    • 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role (advantage)
    • Computer literate in relevant software and tools for project management and reporting.
    • Own Transport, valid driver's license, and the ability to travel to remote mining sites as required.

    Responsibilities:

    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the teams on site.
    • Ensure the proper installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic systems and equipment used in mining operations.
    • Conduct site and system surveys prior to installation and quoting to ensure standards and timelines are met.
    • Minimize damage to installed equipment through careful placement of units.
    • Ensure wiring and installation comply electrically and mechanically.
    • Continuously seek better placement of equipment to improve range and coverage of the warning field.
    • Conduct site visits to assess and promptly fix problems.
    • Ensure the team responds quickly to reported failures and carries out timely repairs.
    • Supervise the team to thoroughly test equipment, analyse faults, and ensure conformance to installation manual specifications.
    • Ensure repairs and parts are ordered promptly to rectify faults.
    • Provide written feedback on failures and suggested improvements to the Account Manager.
    • Compile reports for audits requested by mines and complete required administration (service reports, timesheets, and COCs).
    • Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits of equipment and systems to identify and address any issues or potential hazards.
    • Coordinate with management to develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
    • Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, equipment logs, and maintenance records.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to electronic systems and equipment.
    • Provide training and support to site personnel on the proper use and maintenance of electronic systems.
    • Ensure efficient allocation and utilization of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to promote continuous improvement.
    • Participate in site meetings and provide regular updates to management on project progress and any issues that arise.
