    Procurement Contracting Specialist

    Requirements:

    • University Bachelor's degree
    • 8+ years relevant experience

    Responsibilities:

    • Enable benefits/ value release through the delivery of a water-tight and cost-effective contracting capability.
    • Reduce contract management costs.
    • Prepare sourcing plans, negotiate, and administer all contracts within a portfolio in accordance with policies and legal requirements.
    • Implement effective methods to maximize on-contract spend within the category.
    • Prepare regular reports regarding contract status, compliance and modifications/amendments.
    • Respond to complex enquiries regarding contract terms and conditions, and contract processing requirements and guidelines.
    • Ensure that robust contract management and review processes and procedures are in place to manage and mitigate risk in the organisation.

    Lead Process Engineer (Mining Process Plants - Design) - Isando

    This is not an operations position but design of Mining Process Plants.

    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience of which minimum 2 years as a Lead Engineer
    • Extensive design, commissioning and/or operational experience of minerals processing equipment (comminution, flotation, DMS, gravity separation, screening, thickening and filtration)
    • Experience in scoping and management of metallurgical test work programs (bench scale, pilot scale, on-site testing)
    • Experience in modelling of minerals processing equipment and systems
    • Strong client focus.
    • Ability to lead Process Engineering Team on a project, within the allocated budget and schedule, including mentoring and guidance of junior colleagues and professional interaction with other project disciplines
    • Ability to manage individuals to attain quality, cost and scheduled objectives 

    Key Responsibilities Include:

    • Perform process engineering tasks on Minerals Processing projects, in a variety of commodities
    • Operate with full competence and independence in the execution of all design calculations, design criteria, in the compilation and execution of equipment lists and calculations.
    • Develop new criteria/calculations where required, maintaining high levels of accuracy. Provide frequent training, guidance and supervision to junior colleagues.
    • Actively engage with clients to understand project requirements
    • Process scope definition and technology selection
    • Define the process design criteria
    • Define the process block flow diagram and unit operations
    • Compilation of Process Flow Diagrams, along with associated mass and energy balance calculations
    • Undertake trade off studies to resolve options
    • Identify, scope and manage process test work (on site or laboratory based)
    • Conduct capacity analysis for existing plants
    • Select the equipment for projects
    • Carry out engineering design calculations and equipment sizing calculations
    • Prepare specifications of process attributes for equipment, through compilation of process datasheets (or process input to general datasheets).
    • Compilation of Process Description
    • Design of the process control logic adhering to appropriate safety standards, and documentation into Functional Descriptions
    • Display full competence and independence in the compilation of P&IDs and all levels of control philosophies.
    • Ensure process specifications portray the appropriate information and design intent and review of equipment bids
    • Liaising with other discipline engineers to ensure designs conform to process requirements
    • Contribute to hazard studies
    • Compile operating cost estimates including estimation of consumables, labour, maintenance materials and power
    • Provide input to capital cost estimates
    • Prepare well written project reports
    • Play a lead role in site commissioning of new equipment and process systems
    • Participate in the preparation of proposals and other business development initiatives.

    Requirements

    • B Degree (NQF 7) in Law, Logistics, Transportation or Business Management
    • 6 years’ experience in rendering corporate support services
    • Experience in Fleet Management Services, Facilities Management Services, Contracts Management Services & Financial Management Services
    • Valid Driver’s Licence

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare departmental contributions to the strategic plan and the annual business plan.
    • Develop systems and procedures for the management and control of the departmental performance and deliverables.
    • Ensure the development and implementation of systems, policies, and procedures for the department.
    • Control departmental expenditure by ensuring spending is appropriate.
    • Oversee procurement and replacement of vehicles as per Master Fleet Services Agreement.
    • Manage vehicle availability by placing adhoc vehicle orders when the need arises.
    • Manage building cleaning services and ensure that all building reported defects are addressed.
