    Maintenance Planner

    Responsibilities

    • Facilitates communication channels for the maintenance department or site personnel.
    • Collaborates with Maintenance leadership, Production leadership, and Quality Leadership to implement the Rx or interim strategy tasks and requirements 
    • Plans and arranges activities related with equipment maintenance to enhance equipment and plant accessibility and competence supporting site production 
    • Schedules work evenly across all forms of work orders preventative, predictive, corrective and breakdown.
    • Analyzes equipment breakdown trends and incorporates that into creating preventative and predictive maintenance schedules.
    • Develops and maintains a corrective action plan for all internal and external equipment inspections.
    • Develops, maintains, and communicates plant availability with relevant structures 
    • Custodian of work order management on maintenance connection, suggests improvements when needed 
    • Coordinates plant shutdowns to attain all essential schedules.
    • Ensures compliance to all statutory requirements on all plant equipment and all inspections are conducted in accordance with good engineering practices.
    • Custodian of all maintenance records on plant equipment.
    • Executes modification in maintenance records and key equipment with significant spares during setting apt reorder levels along with quantities.
    • Coordinates to rebuild spare equipment’s through external suppliers. Orders, receives and supervises required material to assist maintenance activities.
    • Supports proactively all EHS and Quality procedures and policies, also a key support for all compliance audits 
    • Conducts training activities on new engineering processes 
    • Plays an active role on CAPEX related projects
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • 3 – 5 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment post qualification

    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Relevant tertiary qualification required and / or Trade Test in Electrical / Mechanical

    Dispatch Co-ordinator

    Responsibilities

    • Prepares, analyzes, and compiles complex freight payments and related reporting for units; reviews for efficiency and cost savings and makes appropriate recommendations. 
    • Supervises and ensures Dispatch team employees are adequately informed, instructed, trained and supervised to safely carry out work for which they are engaged.
    • Maintains accurate records and assists in inventory control by performing cycle counts and stocktakes. 
    • Examines invoices and shipping documents to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
    • Ensures compliance with department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
    • Analyzes trends, reviews forecasts, and develops daily, weekly and monthly reports and recommendations to control transportation costs.

    Supervises and/or performs:

    • accurate, prompt picking of product from inventory locations, make ready for shipping;
    • control the finished goods stock on hand in accuracy of quantity, location, status, and FIFO;
    • arrange transport and schedule dispatches to ensure timely deliveries;
    • load vehicles, account for all product, ensure good condition prior to dispatch;
    • control and account for the distribution of pallets, flow bins, totes etc;
    • ensure correct shipping documents, COA’s (including special customer requirements), account for POD’s;
    • ensure all transporters possess valid tremcards, declarations, daily vehicle inspections etc;
    • validate and authorize all transporters invoices (in terms of accounting procedures);
    • account for all in-transit incidents, ensure claimable incidents properly and quickly resolved;
    • ensure appropriate coverage for after-hours/week-end deliveries;
    • coordinate transport etc for returns from customer (Authority To Collect), advise receiving;
    • coordinate transport etc. for removal of redundant inventory from Sherwin Williams or customer locations.

    Ensures:

    • compliance with all relevant HSE and Quality Standards procedures and standards.
    • compliance with handling of dangerous goods on site and regarding deliveries;
    • good inventory usage practice e.g. FIFO;
    • high standard of safe-keeping/protection from damage, theft, loss etc of all inventory under own control;
    • correct, timely recording of all shipping, distribution, inventory transactions under own control;
    • high standard of housekeeping (5S’s) in all locations, vehicles under own control;
    • proper use and safe-keeping of all inventory measurement and recording electronic devices;
    • safe and careful operating and safe-keeping of all forklift and reach trucks under direct control;
    • to manage transport to optimise cost and prevent idle time, double handling etc.

    Periodic responsibilities:

    • Keep all related work instructions current and valid and ensure that staff is trained accordingly.
    • Assist/lead in periodic inventory counts as directed by inventory count leader/SC Manager.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • 5 years proven experience in similar role in similar industry; proven supervisory skills

    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Inventory / Warehousing qualification required
    • Certified in relevant hazardous material handling procedures, transportation legislation etc

    Technical Service Representative - Automotive Refinish Coatings (Cape Town)

    Responsibilities

    • Responds to comprehensive questions and concerns from the customer regarding product lines and general operations; operates under minimal supervision and solves comprehensive problems that require project management principles. 
    • Provides technical direction and assistance to customers on the use of the product lines; operations involve multiple or complex locations, and the application of multiple technologies. 
    • Installs and commissions paint systems at end user customers and provides training on correct use of colour tools and colour retrieving software.
    • Serves as an operational advisor to customers by applying advanced quality tools and analytical concepts to assist with improving product quality, efficiency, and line design; receives direction or guidance when required. 
    • Serves as a liaison with sales by interacting with line and management personnel, developing a complete understanding of needs and operations, and providing observations and leads to sales; receives direction from other personnel when required.
    • Performs broad account management activities by maintaining and creating new sales, facilitating orders, developing relationships with all levels of management, and resolving problems in conjunction with sales or other technical personnel.
    • Is fundamental in the stock requirements and management at customer sites together with an appropriate level of understanding on internal logistics and its requirements.
    • Serves as a lead to lower-level technical service representatives or other staff, which includes prioritizing and assigning work and determining work direction. 
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • 5+ years of technical experience in Automotive Refinish coatings.

    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • High school graduate or equivalent education and experience. Qualified Automotive Refinish spray painter.

    • Utilizing industry and product applications concepts and procedures
    • Understanding of sales and research and development principles
    • Applying expert principles and practices within multiple service areas
    • Providing technical and line guidance and advice to improve quality and efficiency
