We are looking for a:
Digital Account Director
Ogilvy One is looking for a seasoned digital Account Director based in Johannesburg. The purpose of this role is to drive and manage digital planning and execution for clients. The Account Director will provide efficient client liaison to deliver on client requirements.
The Account Director will actively consult with clients regarding SEO, Creative Services, E-commerce, Data & Analytics and all other issues relating to clients requirements in relation to their digital ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
Client
- Has a deep understanding of the clients business and of the key broader factors and trends shaping their markets and categories. Looks for opportunities to engage in broader business dialogue with clients.
- Is the clients first point of contact on all main strategic, creative and resource issues.
- Is the Business Directors first port of call on all questions relating to the business.
- Builds strong and enduring relationships with clients.
- Regularly seeks out ways to add value to the client/agency relationship (e.g. joint speaking appearances at conferences; effecting introductions to other members of agency management; agency presentations on broader industry issues).
- Represents the clients business within the agency.
Finance
- Responsible for to the writing of Business Plans for the account.
- Is responsible for maximising the accounts billings and/or income and for seeking out additional income opportunities.
- Contributes to the good financial management of the business, improving profitability wherever possible, implementing and monitoring all billing procedures, alerting the Managing Partner and Business Director promptly to any likely changes to billing and income, any potential write-offs, etc.
- Ensures that timesheets are always up to date and given to Finance timeously.
Account Management
- Is ultimately responsible for the smooth running of the account operationally, creatively and financially and is answerable on these points to the client and to the Business Director.
- Creates the best possible environment in which to produce the best possible work. Is responsible for ensuring that his/her teams have the right time and resources to deliver this, within the clients time frame.
- Builds the respect and loyal commitment of team members, of the department and of the agency as a whole.
- Delegates effectively and appropriately upwards to the Business Director, as well as downwards, and to other departments.
- Involves the Managing Partner appropriately on all relevant issues: status of business, brand health, creative projects, timings, etc.

The Account Director will serve as the primary point of contact between Ogilvy Cape Town and our valued clients. The Role:
As a Senior Social and Content Manager, you will leverage your expertise in working with global clients, particularly across European markets. Position Summary:
A desktop publishing operator or designer is responsible for translating a brief to art files ready to go to print or be placed online. A DTP operator is usually skilled in multiple computer design applications, in the Adobe CS suit of products. As a designer, you must be able to come up with creative solutions to monthly campaigns and other printing paraphernalia.
Must be able to create retail catalogues using page layout software (InDesign). Generate ads, POS elements, general printing paraphernalia and artwork for social media. Must have knowledge of traditional printing processors, selecting and formatting of type, column width and spacing, checking colours and editing photographs and other images.
Edit text by correcting its spelling, punctuation, and grammar and work with others including writers, editors, and graphic designers to come up with monthly retail campaigns.

For this role we are looking for an DTP Operator / Designer with extensive experience (approx. 5+ years).
Knowledge of printing techniques and the preparation process for printing.
- Fluentness in using Adobe In-design, Illustrator, Photoshop, Mac OX literate and or any other multimedia software.
- Ability to use net transfer tool e.g. FTP.
- Organized in handling daily tasks, accurately, self-management.
- Experience in work at the printing/publishing house or other advertising agencies is highly desirable.
