    Field Service Technician

    The Role

    Ensure customer satisfaction by installing, repairing, inspecting and commissioning service, considering economical and other aspects. Problem solving by using approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, operational or process problems; the ability to apply this knowledge appropriately in different kinds of situations. Knowledge of the tasks, tools and procedures associated with providing technical support to the sales team and prospective customers.

    Main responsibilities:

    • Install, repair, inspect and commission products and various equipment at customer sites or own premises.
    • Report and document results after above actions.
    • Responsible for planning, conducting, and maintaining tools and equipment for service work.

    • Minimum 2-years’ experience working as a Field Service Technician with proven competence on earth moving equipment or surface boom and rotary drill Technician knowledge in the above-mentioned field

    The Role

    Sales Support and Development Manager Africa

    About the role

    • The Sales Support and Development Manager is a senior commercial/business development professional, with international business experience who will play a pivotal role in supporting the SMR Sales Areas within Africa with the development and realization of the Parts & Services division strategy within each Sales Area including the prioritization, alignment and execution plans for local business initiatives while also working closely on strategic and bundled deals.
    • With each Sales Area, you will work closely and collaboratively with the P&S BLM and the local organization to drive the Parts & Services sales development process, monitor market performance to gain a deeper understanding of customer value perception, identify gaps and help align Sales Area priorities. 
    • You support each Sales Area with the development of commercial and operational readiness strategies necessary to achieve business objectives and ambitions.

    Maintenance Planner - Mafube

    The Role:

    • To ensure optimal availability of relevant machine spares/equipment through efficient maintenance planning and schedules and to identify and record machine component norms for Performance Contracts.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Reconditioning of spares and material are co-coordinated to ensure availability, flow & to prevent backlog of reconditioning orders.
    • Material & spares availability to be in accordance with the relevant specifications.
    • Provide feedback on a continuous basis to keep key receivers informed of progress.
    • Compile performance & status reports for relevant key role-players on an ongoing basis
    • Regularly update equipment & spares register on the planning system according to the department’s needs.

    Reliability Engineer - Musina

    Main Responsibilities

    • Reconcile actual equipment component performance vs total cost of ownership
    • Develop equipment preventive maintenance plans with a focus on preventive maintenance and component replacement schedules

    Workshop Specialist

    The role

    • Provide quality technical support and develop the technical competencies of internal and external customers related to rebuilds on Sandvik trackless mobile machines.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide technical support to end users, operators, and service personnel.
    • Provide relevant feedback to Product Support Managers (PSM) to enable improvements to the equipment or its operation.
    • Provide support in compiling accurate data to process warranty claims and the design and engineering machine improvements.
    • Review spare parts recommendations with Parts organization.
    • Contribute to the review of strategic stock list for the Workshop
    • Provide information on accuracy of Machine Life Operating Costs (MLOC) to PSM

    • Manage profit margins per rebuild of each machine

    Profile Required

    • Grade 12/equivalent qualification
    • Electrical trade certificate of competence accompanied by the apprenticeship portfolio of evidence.
    • 5 years’ experience of operational, maintenance and engineering aspects of rebuilds.
    • Knowledge and experience on Sandvik trackless mobile machines would be advantageous
