    Production Plant Foreman

    Production Plant Foreman

    • We are recruiting on behalf of one of our clients located in Pretoria West, seeking a highly experienced, organised, and results-driven Production Plant Foreman to oversee and optimise daily manufacturing operations.
    • The successful candidate must bring a minimum of 5 +years’ experience in a production or plant supervisory environment. The ideal individual will maintain high-quality production standards, ensure efficient resource utilisation, and lead a skilled workforce in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Matric.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience as a Production Supervisor, Foreman or similar role.
    • Extensive knowledge and proficiency in SketchUp, or a relevant 3D modelling or Technical CAD tools.
    • Own vehicle and valid Driver's License.
    • Advantageous: Previous experience working with sheet metal and laser cutting processes.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Ensure staff compliance with all safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
    • Manage daily workflow, shift assignments, and workload distribution.
    • Build and maintain a trusting, collaborative relationship with staff while managing and developing the production workforce.
    • Ensure all products are correctly labelled, stored, and handled according to company requirements.
    • Take full responsibility for production output, product quality, and on-time delivery of finished goods.
    • Collect and analyse operational data to identify inefficiencies and reduce overtime.
    • Train, guide, and support production staff to ensure competency and consistent performance.
    • Plan, organise and direct daily production operations to consistently meet and exceed customer expectations.
    • Report equipment malfunctions or issues to maintenance and follow up to ensure resolution.
    • Implement operational strategies aligned with company objectives and provide clear direction to the production team.
    • Address employee concerns, grievances, and workplace issues promptly and fairly.
    • Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
    • Develop systems and processes to track and improve productivity, performance targets, and operational standards.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of production processes, machinery, and equipment.
    • Improve production capacity, efficiency, and flexibility while minimising waste, unnecessary costs, and downtime.
    • Ensure accurate recording and submission of staff attendance to the HR department.
    • Take appropriate disciplinary action in line with company policies.
    • Allocate resources effectively and maximise utilisation of plant assets.
    • Ensure all production documents, checklists, and paperwork are completed accurately and correctly signed.
    • Monitor plant operations and take corrective actions when required.
    • Enforce company safety procedures and promote a strong safety culture.

    Director: Procurement

    Director: Procurement

    • One of our clients in the higher education sector is seeking a Director: Procurement for a 6-month contract to lead and manage their procurement and supply chain operations.
    • This senior leadership role requires 6–8 years of relevant experience at a Director or senior management level, ideally within procurement, supply chain management, or a related field. Experience in higher education is an advantage. The successful candidate will be based in Midrand, Gauteng.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Relevant Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, or a related field.
    • 6–8 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain management at senior or director level.
    • Experience within a higher education setting is advantageous.
    • Strong computer literacy, including MS Office Suite.
    • Vehicle and valid Driver's License. 

    Roles and Responsibilities:
    Strategic Procurement Leadership

    • Support executive leadership in achieving departmental and institutional procurement objectives.
    • Drive strategic planning initiatives and strengthen procurement governance.
    • Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships and internal partnerships.

    End-to-End Supply Chain Oversight

    • Manage the full procurement lifecycle, from sourcing to contract award.
    • Ensure compliance with National Treasury regulations and internal policies.
    • Lead tender adjudication processes in collaboration with executive committees.
    • Forecast demand and coordinate sourcing of goods and services across departments.

    Quality Assurance, Compliance & Risk Management

    • Maintain integrity, impartiality, and transparency within the procurement function.
    • Identify and proactively manage supply chain risks.
    • Ensure compliance with SHE (Safety, Health & Environmental) policies.
    • Implement quality assurance systems to meet internal and external audit standards.

    Policies, Procedures & Governance

    • Contribute to developing and reviewing SCM policies and procedures.
    • Align procurement practices with legislative frameworks and institutional values.
    • Support continuous improvement through audits and stakeholder engagement.

    Training, User Support & Staff Development

    • Facilitate orientation and training for staff on SCM policies and procedures.
    • Maintain training schedules, registers, and development initiatives.
    • Oversee recruitment, performance management, coaching, and staff development for the procurement team.

    Financial & Resource Management

    • Assist in preparing operating and capital budgets for SCM.
    • Manage asset procurement, recording, and compliance with financial policies.
    • Ensure accurate and efficient account and payment processes.

    Reporting, Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

    • Prepare strategic and operational reports for executive and governance structures.
    • Implement best practices to improve procurement efficiency.
    • Identify trends, manage risks proactively, and ensure zero audit qualifications.
