    Senior Specialist Margin Assurance

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • Margin assurance is a highly focused area within the Telecommunications sector with the purpose of detecting, correcting and preventing any revenue leakages from reducing cost, increasing revenue and minimising loss through the effective use of controls and various technologies.
    • An experienced MA Senior Specialist with strong financial and technical skills, preferably from the Telecoms or Banking industry, will be responsible for implementing the end to end Margin (Revenue) Assurance controls for Vodacom.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Executive Head: Delivery Management

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • The Executive Head of Delivery for Vodacom Business (VB) is a senior leadership position responsible for the end-to-end delivery of products and solutions across all Business Units representing total revenue for VB.
    • The role’s mandate is to ensure that all contracted client commitments are delivered per client requirements, timeously, profitably and client satisfied. The role will be responsible for both implementation and post implementation operations contracts, and mitigating delivery risks through robust contract and partner management.
    • The incumbent will be accountable for achieving operational excellence, sustaining client satisfaction, and ensuring compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs) by leveraging internal capabilities and, where necessary, engaging external partners or subcontractors.
    • To the extent that established delivery structures are already in place in mature Business Units, the executive head will partner with both Mobile and Vodacom Business Technology delivery teams to establish ways of work; accountability metrics; operational performance metrics, escalation metrics, and management routines.
    • However, for complex multiple BU solutions, beyond mobile or for ventures or partner-delivered solutions, the Executive Head is responsible for setting up a delivery operating model comprised of a combination of internal resources (consolidation of what is already in the business) or partnership models with ventures or external partners.
    • The executive head is accountable for the strategic governance, orchestration, and operational excellence of complex solution delivery across Vodacom’s Mobile, Fixed, and Beyond Connectivity portfolios.
    • The role acts as a critical bridge between product teams, internal delivery units, and external partners to shape and uphold delivery frameworks that enhance customer experience and prevent downstream issues.

    Specialist: Customer Insights

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • To conduct deep analysis on product performance across all relevant internal metrics for revenue and sales volumes. This includes analysis of macro-economic factors and competitor products.
    • To provide feedback, insights, and recommendations on pricing and regional specific deals to the relevant teams in the centre, for the improvement in sales and revenue performance.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Deep analysis of sales and revenue performance at a customer segment, product, channel, and geographic level.
    • Feedback and recommend demand strategies based on product pricing and channel dynamics.
    • Support branded and unbranded channels with insights and recommendations on product and channel performance.
    • Regional SPOC for CVM, products and services, insights and big data teams based in Head Office.
    • Continuous monitoring of competitor products and services.
    • Presentation of analysis and recommendations to various stakeholders.
    • Drive the local implementation of the CARE and Customer Experience Excellence strategy developed by COPS into the region and counties.
    • Work with Channel Managers and Branded/Unbranded Specialists in implementing CXX strategy and executing in-store elements. 
    • Provide ongoing feedback to COPS for continuous improvements on CXX journey.
    • Analyse regional customer base in conjunction with Head Office CVM team to provide insight and recommendations on trends or behaviour of base. 
    • Customer appreciation trackers, (e.g. tNPS, rNPS, BMS, MAPS) to derive Customer insights and Customer Strategy for input on CX, Product and CVM growth objectives.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Matric / Grade 12, and
    • 3 year commercial/Data Analytics/marketing/sales diploma or degree (NQF 6 or higher) or SAQA accredited equivalent (essential) with
    • 3-5 years relevant experience (essential)
    • Valid Driver’s licence (essential)
    • Knowledge of products (advantageous)

    Executive Head: Legal Affairs: VB Private Sector

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • Responsible for providing legal advice to line leaders and executives of the Enterprise Business Unit in Vodacom South Africa on a broad range of commercial, legal and regulatory matters in a manner which ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Responsible for providing accurate, effective, and timely legal advice, analysis and support at an expert level on complex matters of significant, strategic and/or financial value to the Enterprise Business Unit.
    • Negotiating with enterprise customers complex transactions and commercial arrangements relating to the company’s Enterprise Business Unit and providing legal advice regarding these transactions and arrangements to senior business stakeholders.
    • Drafting a wide range of complex contracts for the Enterprise Business Unit.
    • Collaborate with Vodacom Contract Management Team and work closely with the multi-disciplinary operational functions to draft service agreements for complex solution designs.
    • Collaborate with executive teams to improve commercial strategy and devise negotiation plans.
    • Maintain visibility across enterprise contractual commitments and ensuring alignment with commercial and operational teams.
    • Identify and communicate legal and compliance risks and manage legal risk.
    • Provide general legal guidance and advice to business.
    • Draft promotion / competition / product terms and conditions.
    • Manage and resolve customer disputes within the Enterprise Business Unit.
    • Keep business stakeholders updated and briefed on key projects and risk management.
    • Ensure that all legal matters are reported and managed in accordance with company governance requirements and processes, delegation of authority, and Group Code of Conduct.
    • Actively participate in the broader Vodafone and Vodacom legal community to bring benefit from experience, expertise, and synergies to Vodacom.
    • Keep Managing Executive: Legal Affairs and/or Chief Legal Risk and Compliance Officer (as the case may be) informed /involved on major or complex issues.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • LLB Degree and admitted attorney with a minimum of 8 – 10 years post qualification experience.
    • Prior experience in providing commercial legal advice within a major law firm or reputable corporate.
    • Extensive commercial law and commercial drafting and negotiation experience, with ability to provide timely, innovative and commercially-sound legal solutions in a fast- moving industry.
    • Experienced commercial attorney with knowledge of telecoms industry and general technology law. 
    • Fluency in English is mandatory.

    Knowledge: 

    • Demonstrable wide-ranging commercial experience. (essential) 
    • Working knowledge of Competition Law, Data Privacy Laws and Regulation of Interception of Communications and Provision of Communication-related Information Act essential.  
    • Experience in assisting with advising on bids and related work advantageous.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of industry practices, laws and regulations relevant to Vodacom South Africa’s Enterprise Business Unit, with a deep understanding of the unique legal challenges faced by companies operating in the telecommunications and technology sectors.

    Group Executive Head of Data & Analytics

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • The Group Executive Head of Data & Analytics will lead the strategic direction and execution of Vodacom's data and analytics initiatives.
    • This role is pivotal in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization, ensuring data accessibility, quality, and governance, and leveraging advanced analytics to uncover deeper insights and predictive trends.
    • The successful candidate will collaborate across the Group’s entities and verticals, including finance, commercial, IT, and customer service, to enhance Vodacom's digital presence and improve customer engagement.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Data enablement:

    • Ensure data accessibility, quality, and governance across the organization.
    • Develop and enforce data policies, maintain data standards, and define data roles and responsibilities.
    • Oversee the centralized management of data assets and ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements.

    Performance reporting:

    • Provide actionable insights through regular reporting and automation.
    • Centralize KPI development and performance reporting to reduce duplication and errors.
    • Implement digital MPR frameworks and transform manual reporting processes.

    Advanced analytics:

    • Leverage advanced techniques to uncover deeper insights and predictive trends.
    • Utilize predictive analytics in finance, create task teams for insights generation, and integrate AI through collaboration with COEs.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Educational background: A bachelor's or master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
    • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in data and analytics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
    • Technical skills: Proficiency in data governance, data quality management, and advanced analytics techniques. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), data management platforms, and programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
    • Industry knowledge: In-depth understanding of the telecommunications industry and its data-related challenges and opportunities.
    • Project management: Proven experience in managing large-scale data projects and initiatives, with a strong track record of delivering results on time and within budget.
