    Product Owner Life and Funeral

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • The Product Owner represents the business stakeholders and is the voice of the customer guiding individual DevOps teams, responsible for ensuring that the delivery team delivers value to the business according to the outcome vision
    • This role is responsible for the definition of customer-centric items or user stories from the capability/feature roadmap defined by the Product Manager, ranking and prioritizing them, and adding them to the team backlog
    • This role will work closely with the Release Train Engineer/Agile Programme Manager and Scrum Master in coordinating day to day activities such as sprint planning, retrospectives and other agile functions to ensure collaboration and effective delivery of user stories against commercial milestone objectives
    • Product owner works to Agile principles, and will be responsible for the prioritization and delivery of the backlog of change initiatives to maximize business benefit of the products and features we offer. The rote works closely with the team to develop user stories, acceptance criteria and full business benefits, and convey the vision onwards to our in-house Scrum teams, or, where required, to our Offshore development partners
    • This role is responsible for ensuring the products commercial viability , regulatory compliance and technical enablement across all platforms and channels 

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Own, drive, and focus the team on delivery of business value and content
    • Develop and define user stories / items and acceptance criteria from the feature and capability roadmap defined by Product Managers
    • Rank and prioritize user stories / items and add them to the team backlog for sprint development, conveying a clear vision of what is required to be built
    • Approve the final release plan and accept all deliverables against defined user stories and acceptance criteria
    • Analyse and report delivery risks and opportunities, and engage stakeholders for communications and decision-making
    • Participate in retrospectives to identify improvement opportunities
    • Acts as single point of business contact for the DevOps team
    • Manage the financial plan for the delivery team, providing forecasts

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field
    • A total of eight or more years experience of which at least five  or more years is in the successful delivery in Product Ownership (or equivalent role) across full product lifecycles, from MVP to marketable products in iterations, including support transition specifically in an insurance or bank assurance environment 
    • FAIS accreditation ( RE1 and RE5 )preferrential
    • Experience in successfully Leading and mentoring agile / DevOps teams in Large multi-team environments
    • Experience in agile methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming (XP), Test Driven Design and Behavioural Driven Design
    • Experience in successful delivery against financial / resource constraints
    • Experience in the use of analytics and AB / multivariate testing
    • Experience with requirements definition and use case modelling
    • Professional experience and knowledge of the Telecommunications industry strongly preferred
    • Experience in PNL management preferential

    Specialist Legal Advisor

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • The Junior legal advisor will provide support within the Legal Affairs team by assisting with legal research, document review, drafting, matter coordination and compliance activities across Vodacom’s business.
    • The role will also provide practical support on corporate and commercial arrangements, strategic partnerships, acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, funding arrangements, intra-group reorganisations, inter company agreements, regulatory processes, merger control, market inquiries, investigations and other competition law workstreams within a fast-paced telecommunications environment.
    • The incumbent will develop a broad understanding of the business and the competition law, corporate and commercial issues relevant to the telecommunications sector, applying sound legal judgement and a solutions-oriented approach to support strategic and operational objectives.
    • The role offers strong exposure to a variety of matters and transactions, with a focus on competition law matters and cross-functional business collaboration.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Competition law advisory support: Provide junior-level support on competition law matters, including legal research, monitor competition law developments across South Africa and other relevant African jurisdictions, legal advice, risk assessments and review of commercial agreements, strategic partnerships and other business documents from a competition law perspective.
    • Merger control support: Assist with merger control assessments, merger filings, information gathering, preparation of submissions and coordination of internal stakeholder inputs for competition authority processes.
    • Investigations, complaints and litigation support: Support competition law investigations, complaints, third-party merger interventions and competition-law-related litigation including by collating evidence, engaging with internal stakeholders and drafting submissions.
    • Competition law compliance support: Assist with the development and implementation of competition law compliance initiatives, including training materials, compliance checklists, internal controls, dawn raid guidance, information-sharing protocols, clean team processes, knowledge management and internal awareness communications.
    • Collaborate closely with various business teams to provide timely and pragmatic legal support.
    • Undertake legal research and provide clear, concise advice on competition law  matters affecting the business.
    • Identify and propose practical risk mitigants and positions consistent with Vodacom policies and business risk appetite.
    • Keep more senior team members and other stakeholders updated and briefed on projects and risk management concerns on a regular basis.
    • Assist the legal team in promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration within the Legal Affairs team and across markets to leverage learnings and drive synergy benefits.
    • Commercial agreements and M&A support: Assist with drafting agreements and provide support in relation to a variety of commercial agreements and M&A matters.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Telecommunications sector work experience (Advantageous).
    • Fluency in English is mandatory.
    • 0–2 years post-qualification or relevant legal experience, ideally with exposure to competition law, regulatory law, telecommunications, technology, digital markets, mergers & acquisitions and/or commercial advisory work.
    • LLB degree (or equivalent legal qualification).
    • Admitted attorney (or in the process of admission).
    • 0–2 years post-qualification experience.
    • Coursework, postgraduate study, articles experience, internship exposure or practical experience in competition/ regulatory law will be advantageous.

    • Foundational understanding of South African law of contracts and/or mercantile law. (Essential)

    Senior Specialist: Corporate Real Estate (Digital and Technology Services

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • To support the delivery and ongoing improvement of digital and technology capabilities within Vodacom’s National Property and Facilities function, using data, systems and process improvements to enhance corporate real estate operations, workplace services and portfolio visibility.
    • This role supports the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of the CRE digital ecosystem, helping ensure that technology solutions improve reporting, operational efficiency, service delivery and user experience across the property lifecycle.
    • The role works with Vodacom Business, Information Technology, Digital AI Engineering and external service partners to gather requirements, support solution improvements, coordinate implementation activities and assist with the effective use of property technology platforms, data and analytics.
    • The Senior Specialist: CRE - Digital and Technology Services role supports the use of digital capabilities, data assets, infrastructure information and technology-enabled processes to improve decision support, reporting accuracy and colleague experiences across the real estate lifecycle.
    • The role provides functional support for technologies used in facilities management, engineering, capital projects, workplace experience, portfolio management, sustainability, parking and mobility, smart buildings, Archibus, Building Management Systems, IoT, ESG reporting and related real estate systems.
    • The Senior Specialist: CRE Digital and Technology Services acts as the key driver of digital product vision, data-as-a-product maturity and operational change enablement, ensuring that the National Property and Facilities function extracts maximum value from its real estate technology ecosystem.

    • Ensure technology platforms remain fit for purpose, scalable and aligned to future business requirements.
    • Ensure all digital initiatives deliver measurable business outcomes and return on investment.
    • Prioritize features based on business value and partnership with other Vodacom business units for delivering sequencing and roadmap alignment.

    Data, Analytics and Business Intelligence

    • Own the business definition of data products for Portfolio, Asset, Space, Vendor, and ESG domains.
    • Establish a data-driven operating model across National Property and Facilities.
    • Manage development of executive dashboards, portfolio analytics and predictive insights supporting strategic decision-making.
    • Drive governance of property, asset, vendor and sustainability data to improve data quality, transparency and reporting.
    • Enable evidence-based decisions relating to portfolio optimisation, asset performance, workplace utilisation and supplier performance.
    • Define business semantics, KPIs, success measures, and data quality expectations.

    Business Insights, Analytics & Decision Support

    • Support the development of executive insights, dashboards, and performance packs that enable strategic decision making.

    • A 3-4 year degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Real Estate, Property Management, Engineering - essential.
    • Minimum of 5-8 years experience in Infrastructure Management, Corporate Real Estate Facilities Management, Digital Transformation or Property Technology.
    • Strong experience with CAFM / IWMS platforms (such as Archibus), Smart Buildings, IoT and workplace technologies.
    • Experience in data analytics, business intelligence and executive reporting.
    • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships.
