    Treasury Assistant

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Provide assistance with maintaining the company profile with the business banker.
    • Maintain a register of the signatories on all bank accounts.
    • Maintain a register of all bank accounts, credit – and petrol cards in the name of the company and ensure timeous replacement of expired cards. 
    • Load and process all BST payment registers, COD and foreign payments on the internet banking profile and finalize the payment file for release by the signatories, ensuring that bank details and transaction values are accurate and that the creditors payment process is adhered to.
    • Ensure all “EFT Payment” documentation are uploaded onto BST.
    • Record all exchange rates at which foreign transactions take place and advise management of possible gains to be realized.
    • Distribute remittances and proof of payments to administrators.
    • Prepare bank reconciliations on a weekly basis, ensuring that reconciling items are cleared within 30 days.
    • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for all bank accounts on a monthly basis, ensuring that reconciling items are cleared within 30 days.
    • Maintain a complete and accurate file for all transactions on each bank account.
    • Prepare and distribute the daily bank balance listing.
    • Inform branches of low branch account balances to avoid usage of overdraft facilities.
    • Assist sectors timeously with performance bond, Reserve Bank approvals and hedging requests and maintain a register of each, ensuring that non-utilized bonds are cancelled, expired Reserve Bank approvals are applied for timeously and that hedging delivery dates are adhered to.
    • Maintain a register and file of all debit orders, performance bonds, Reserve Bank approvals and forward exchange contracts.
    • Prepare the investment template for approval by management as required.
    • Benchmark interest rates on at least a bi-annual basis to ensure that the rate received on investments is optimal
    • Review bank charges on a monthly basis for reason-ability and investigate big variances and possible savings
    • Prepare reports and schedules related to Treasury
    • Prepare and process all loan transactions on BST and reconcile monthly.
    • Monthly reconciliation of all bank related income statement accounts.
    • Perform any ad-hoc duties as required by immediate supervisor or management

    • Matric

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years’ working experience in a financial / bookkeeping / accounting environment
    • Minimum of 2 years’ working experience in treasury
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

    Bridge Team Leader

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Manage the bridge team.
    • Manage the design process of projects.
    • Projects Resource Allocation and Ensure that project budgets are adhered to.
    • Design of bridges and associated road structural elements.
    • Able to work unsupervised with efficient time management.
    • Able to lead a design team and work under pressure. 
    • Assist in preparation of proposals.
    • Technical Report writing.
    • Feasibility studies as required by Project Managers.
    • Entrepreneurial with high business acumen.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    • BSc (Civil Engineering), or BTech (Civil/Structural Engineering).
    • Pr Eng or Pr Tech (ECSA) registration.
    • Registered Bridge Inspector will be an advantage.

    Experience

    • 12 years plus experience in Bridge Design.
    • Detailed knowledge of Finite Element Design Software such as Sofistik/Prokon/AutoCAD/Revit.
    • Preparation of Contract Documentation, specifications and schedules of quantities.
    • Knowledge of SANRAL processes will be an advantage.
    • Experience in bridge hydrology and hydraulics will be an advantage.
    • Experience in design of feature bridges will be an advantage.

    Mechanical Engineer

    Requirements:

    • Broad understanding of mechanical infrastructure systems, which includes mining infrastructure requirements, commercial construction industry practices, construction contracts, and budget/schedule management. etc.
    • Good interpersonal and people management, together with a strong desire to lead projects.
    • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
    • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
    • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
    • Manage changes to the project scope and project schedule using appropriate verification techniques and
    • Collaborate with design engineers to develop and review mechanical engineering designs, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulations.
    • Report and escalate concerns to management as needed.
    • Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders.
    • Perform risk management to minimize potential risks.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
    • Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.
    • As required, travel to site for client interaction and/or OEM supplier premises.
    • Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levels.
    • Develop project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.
    • Ensure that work is done in accordance with acceptable standards.
    • Maintain project records in accordance with the internal quality management system.
    • Preparation and management of specifications, schedules, estimates, progress reports, meeting agendas and minutes, and procurement issues.
    • Mechanical engineering and design during all project phases according to client, national, and international standards.
    • Assessing client/ project engineering requirements.
    • Supervise construction activities, provide technical guidance, and resolve any issues that may arise during the construction phase.
    • Prepare concept design and the ability to objectively evaluate both technically and commercially, different options based upon project objectives/requirements.
    • Oversee testing and commissioning processes to verify the functionality and performance of mechanical systems.
    • Ensure that all project activities adhere to health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
    • Cost estimation of mechanical engineering scope of work, including equipment and construction costs.
    • Prepare Proposals, Expression of interests, and tendering.
    • Collaborate with local and international teams.
    • Technical Client Presentations.
    • Mentorship of junior team members.

     Qualifications:

    • BSc/BEng/BTech (Mechanical)
    • Professional Registration (ECSA)

     Experience:

    • Proven working experience in the mechanical / consulting industry with project experience in mechanical / mining projects with 5+ years of experience. (Minimum)
    • Must be fully computer literate in MS Office to a very high level
    • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, codes, and standards.
    • AutoCAD / Inventor / Navisworks experience
