    Technical Specialist: Identity and Access Management

    Job description

    Job Purpose

    Supports the Identity and Access Management as well as the Privileged User Management systems, used across the group / enterprise, to mitigate risks through the efficient and effective application of information security controls. Designs, develops and implements solutions that extend the capabilities of the Identity and Access Management and Privileged User Management systems to meet the custom requirements for the bank. This role is crucial to preventing significant reputational, financial or other losses to Standard Bank and its clients.

    Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

    • Development and maintenance of capabilities to manage Birth right access
    • Development and maintenance of capabilities to manage access to applications
    • Development and maintenance of capabilities to secure and manage Privileged User Accounts
    • Produce Identity and Access Management and Privileged User Management based Reports in order to identify risks associated with system access
    • Create and maintain Processes and Policies that are aligned to current IT security standards
    • Drive business continuity and maintain relevance within all business areas in the Group
    • Provide support and maintenance for the Identity and Access Management and Privileged User Management Technology stack ensuring the availability of services and minimum down time
    • Provide “Subject Matter Expert” services to all stakeholders to improve the access management model and ensure the implementation of industry best practices
    • Perform technical analysis for IAM and PUM domains to understand business needs and assess the impact of implementing the changes
    • Attend to Adhoc requests to broaden experience and knowledge.

    Preferred Qualification and Experience

    Qualifications

    • Degree: Computer Science
    • Security + Certification
    • Certification in Identity Access Management and PUM Technologies
    • CISSP Certification

    Experience:

    • CyberArk experience with Enterprise Password Vault user and application support
    • Identity and Access management experience with CA Identity Minder, CA Governance Minder and Sailpoint IIQ

    Knowledge/Technical Skills/Expertise

    • Java programming using JDBC; JAVA 8 Programming (JAVA SE 8); JAVA 2 Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE 1.2 - J2EE 1.4)
    • HTML5 programming
    • Windows Server Administration (2003, 2008 and 2012), Windows Task Scheduler, Web Application Servers including (Internet Information Services, IBM WebSphere Application Server, Tomcat), Networking concepts including (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN), Authentication/Authorization offerings, Microsoft Clustering, Active Directory, MS Exchange, Citrix, VMware, DFS, Windows based application installs, Basic understanding of (Oracle, Unix, Sybase, MSSQL, LDAP, Kerberos, RSA)
    • Scripting with any of the following scripting languages (Bean Shell, VB, JavaScript, Perl, Shell, Net, windows batch scripting, CSS, etc.), programming with any of the following languages (. NET, JAVA, Visual Basic, C#), experience with mark-up languages(Xml, HTML), source code control tools such as SVN

    Technical Lead

    Job description

    Job Purpose

    The Technical Lead role has overall responsibility for code delivery for the respective Feature Team Backlog. The TL provides Technical Leadership the team developers and ensures that code quality adheres to agreed criteria while guiding developers to produce software artefacts that contribute to the planned Release Trains.

    Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

    • End to End responsibility for Delivery and Quality of the software artefacts required to meet the agreed business requirements Discovery phase consultation
    • Awareness
    • Provide input
    • Influence Backlog
    • Provide input to Product Backlog and influence prioritisation
    • Provide Build estimations for domain artefacts , eg UI, Gateway, Feature, ESB
    • Manage resource demand along with Respective ADMS and Resource Managers
    • Drive Daily Standups , retrospectives, and enable showcases
    • Remove impediments
    • Provide technical guidance
    • Protect delivery
    • Drive Engineering Practices,
    • Coding standards as prescribed by SSF and CSF teams
    • Test Driven Development

    • Release Engineering and code synchronisation with other teams participating in a Release Train.
    • Stakeholder Engagements
    • Act as a Quality Gate for new requirement moving into Team Product Backlog

    Preferred Qualification and Experience

    Post-graduate degree in Computer Science, Commerce, Business Administration, or related discipline with an information technology focus, or equivalent.

    Knowledge/Technical Skills/Expertise

    • At initiative Start
    • Participate in release planning up front and provide high level estimations
    • Identify possible technical project impacts especially if using re-usable components.

    During development

    • Code check-ins must be to valid JIRA tasks in the technical project. (This will keep the release notes continuously updated and valid)
    • Components that are completed must be released early. (This will avoid release management bottlenecks)
    • Downstream components must be released early. (This is to remove external dependencies on non-project resources)

    Before release

    • Work Closely with Technical Release manager to co-ordinate release train dependencies
    • Check maven dependencies and ensure there are no snapshot dependencies
    • A JIRA release is created with the correct release number
    • All tasks completed are assigned to the fix release.
    • The release notes are in JIRA (This should be automatic if JIRA principles are followed)
    • A dry release has been performed and is successful
    • The relevant Code QA's has been done
    • There are no Critical issues in Sonar
    • Bamboo build is running successfully for the project and its dependencies.
    • Code test coverage is sufficient.

    Deployment

    • Manage and monitor deployments into diff environments
    • Work Closely with Technical Release manager to co-ordinate release train dependencies

    • Customer Experience

    • Performs a liaison role between the Business Managers, customers, branches and back office service fulfilment and credit functions.
    • Interacts with customers to establish financial information requirements.

    • Assists with completion of documents and opening of all accounts for the Entrepreneur segment.
    • Ensures that welcome letters are sent to new customers

    Compliance

    • Complete all compliance training within laid down timelines
    • Lending support and risk management
    • Accurately and efficiently collates and check securities documentation and mandates for banking facilities.
    • Analyses business and financial information e.g. balance sheets, financial statements and management accounts, to prepare and motivate non-scored credit applications in line with credit requirements.
    • Processes scored/un-scored credit applications.
    • Monitors daily excesses to ensure that customer facilities are managed within the parameters set by Credit.
    • Ensures timeous completion of all credit reviews.
    • Ensures the preparation and completion of security documents for accounts on the relevant portfolio.
    • Actions the daily credit violations.
    • Assists with credit checks on new and existing accounts and credit applications, when necessary.
    • Arranges and prepares the manager’s appointments for the week ahead.
    • Supports the manager in researching and prospecting for new and migratory business.

    Drive Transaction Led Acquisition

    • Maintains customer portfolio data to identify opportunities for additional facilities.
    • Cross-sells additional value adding products and services to existing customers to assist them in growing their businesses.
    • Identifies and generate sales leads to stakeholders e.g. Personal Market, Vehicle and Asset Finance; Electronic Banking; Standard Bank Financial Consultants; Standard Bank Insurance Brokers, etc.
    • Completes sales and lead generation tracking forms on a daily basis.
    • Ensures that targets and budgets are met.
    • Participates in tactical sales/marketing activities as required.
    • Ensures that all leads are logged correctly in the presence of the customer and ensures cross selling opportunities are identified.

    Preferred Qualification And Experience

    • Matric /Grade 12
    • Completed B.Comm degree is a pre-requisite
