    Manager, Provincial (SBIS)

    Job description

    Job Purpose

    To achieve the provincial sales targets, income and profit budgets by way of managing the behaviour of our own staff and our relationships with group company staff through training, support and motivation. To ensure ongoing and successful sales and distribution of Insurance and Bancassurance products thought the branch network. Manage and develop sales strategies and identify opportunities. Implement strategies for profitable results.

    Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

    • Achieve excellent customer experience targets.
    • Achieve Inspired, motivated, involved people targets.
    • Achieve penetration and sales targets.
    • Achieve economic profit and cost to income targets.
    • Achieve competency targets.

    Preferred Qualification And Experience

    • Matric
    • Relevant tertiary qualification
    • Need to be a registered FAIS Rep & KI (on FSB register)
    • Standard Bank Insurance Sales experience an advantage or minimum 5 years relevant Sales experience.
    • At least 2 years leadership experience (in a managerial role).

    Knowledge/Technical Skills/Expertise

    • Results orientated/Customer service focused and people orientated Ability to apply common sense and reason as well as interpersonal skills
    • Excellent self starter
    • Disciplined
    • Consistently portray a professional corporate image
    • Ability to establish effective working relationships with all stakeholders
    • Must be presentable
    • Experience in dealing with varied situations and strict deadlines
    • Good organisational skills Must be able to work in teams.
    • Must be able to use initiative.
    • Must take ownership of problems.
    • Creative.
    • Objective, unbiased and fair.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Able to follow a defined process.
    • Assist in improving the team.
