    DuPont Cape Town Manufacturing Plant is looking for a General Worker. The incumbent should be target driven, energetic and Safety conscious.

    Operational Deliverables (key Tasks)

    • Executing and checking of a Process Instructions
    • Understanding of raw material checking & picking
    • Understanding weighing procedures
    • Forklift skills advantages
    • Reporting on deviations
    • Operating skills advantages
    • Ability to spot & report deviations in production or warehouse
    • Ability to understand & execute the standard operating procedures of the company
    • Ability to clean equipment and good hygiene standards

    Food Safety Responsibility

    • Adhere to all Food Safety requirements
    • Ability to understand what is a food safety deviation
    • Ability to know the basic food safety requirements
    • Understanding of Good Manufacturing processes within production & warehouse
    • Follow all handling, storage and processing instruction as per best practices to avoid contamination or deterioration of materials
    • Follow all standard operating procedures of the company

    Requirements: (qualifications and experience)

    • Min of Matric,
    • Min 3 years’ experience in production environment advantages
    • Good understanding of English (written and spoken)

    Quality Testing Scheduler

This role will primarily focus on determining laboratory testing schedules of a major segment of a site quality testing facility, such as germination or physical characterization.

    Responsibilities Include

    • Consult with Seed Quality Testing Laboratory Coordinator to determine additional resource requirements based on lab testing demand
    • Schedule quality testing activities for designated area in order to meet customer expectations for data delivery while making best use of lab assets
    • Coordinate testing activities with research, production and supply chain personnel, communicate with customers regarding data delivery and performance
    • Ensures sample evaluation and planting goals are reasonable (working with coordinator) and attained during daily operations
    • Communicates incoming work demand and current test backlog to other members of laboratory leadership to assist with staffing decisions to meet laboratory customer requirements
    • Assists in internal and external audits
    • Consults with customers on establishing testing deadlines
    • Will be responsible in assisting to report testing results
    • A basic knowledge of Health and Safety would be advantageous

    Minimum Requirements

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum Grade 12 but two-year technical diploma/degree or equivalent in seed tchnology or scientific discipline would be preferableMinimum Experience:
    • Two to four years relevant seed testing and supervisory experience

    Warehouse/Logistics Specialist

    In this role, your will perform tasks associated with warehouse operations. Tasks include the organization of received and shipped goods, storage and movement.

    Additional Tasks

    • Capturing of waybills and shipping documents on the company operating system
    • Stock control of all inventory materials
    • Managing chemical and packing material store
    • Maintaining fuel levels
    • Receiving and dispatching of finished products
    • Assisting with re-presentations of seed
    • Assisting during stock counts
    • Processing of documents
    • Maintaining a proper filing system
    • Provide broad range of warehouse services to managers and deals with technical matters independently
    • Maintain or process warehouse and logistics information, records, databases, lists, or schedules necessary for efficient ongoing product and materials movement and distribution
    • Provide full range of duties and deals with diverse, semi-routine shipping, transportation and logistics procedures independently

    Education And Experience Required

    Grade 12, with three to five years of relevant experience, including products inventory management experience

    Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Proficient in using a substantial variety of standard software applications, including Microsoft Office, with intermediate proficiency in Excel.
    • Possesses specialized knowledge of procedures, concepts, processes, techniques and practices within specific department or function.
