Primary Purpose of Role

To support the delivery of Payroll management accounting activities for Southern African Payrolls. Ensuring compliance with all internal and external payroll and financial accounting requirements and regulations.

Key Accountabilities

• Timely and accurate monthly reconciliation of general ledger, debtors, statutory payments and intercompany and group transactions on multiple payrolls
• Monthly clearing of accounts
• Tracks and monitors all payments
• Engages with stakeholders to ensure completion and accuracy of statutory Payroll accounts; submissions and tax returns
• Engages with stakeholders to operate in accordance with global payroll accounting processes
• Provides support as required to Regional specific projects
• Provides ad-hoc analytical support and support training initiatives
• Manages relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing information required for internal & external audit work.

Qualifications/Experience Required

• Extensive experience of working in SAP Payroll and Accounting environment
• Proven Payroll Accounting skillset (Strong understanding of Payroll accounting and financial reporting principles and practices)
• B Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
• Proven Experience and ability to work independently in a methodical manner
• Deadline driven with strong focus on delivery
• Previous experience of creation of process documentation
• Attention to detail and analytical acumen
• Strong knowledge of MS Office
