    HRD Facilitator

    Job description

    An exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team, driving the career growth and development of top talent in the Merchant Function of a leading South African Fashion Retailer

    Key Responsibilities:

    To partner with Line Managers in the Merchant Area of the business to facilitate and drive:

    • Performance of top performing talent, aligned with business strategy
    • Drive development and succession
    • Partner with Line Managers to drive a culture of high performance
    • Generalist support to both Line and staff
    • Develop and Implement HR programmes and / or projects
    • Facilitate Merchant Graduate development through in-house Graduate Programme:
    • Support in-house Graduate Recruitment Programme, in the recruitment and selection process
    • Coaching & Mentoring graduates on our World Class Merchant Trainee Programme
    • Assist in the enhancements of the Merchant Trainee Programme
    • Facilitating on workshops
    • Supporting and developing Merchant Trainers in the business
    • HR Projects aligned to current business need
    • Projects vary according to business need, but are typically centered on strategic business imperatives that drive improvements to performance, succession and retention e.g. 360 feedback tools and processes, leadership development, performance management processes
    •  An advantage would be experience in development and implementation of training material and tools

    Requirements:

    Experience:

    • Relevant tertiary qualification
    • Preferably 5 + years’ experience in a related field
    • Experience and competencies with development is an advantage
    • Technical Competencies:
    • HR Generalist experience or potential to become a Generalist
    • Alternatively experience in development but with a drive to broaden experience
    • Experience in presentation / facilitation
    • Mentoring and coaching skills
    • Excellent writing skills
    • Strong listening and communication skills
    • Highly organised & computer literate
    • Able to execute the implementation of a range of HR Projects

    Behavioural:

    • Highly energetic and enjoys a fast paced, dynamic environment
    • Passion and keen interest in development, including coaching, mentorship & material development
    • Creative and innovative: with a practical orientation and an ability to get things done
    • Flexible to ongoing changing business needs
    • Strong task focus and love of structure
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Strong communicator: both written and verbal
