    Senior Manager: Outbound Sales (Digital)

    Job description

    Role Purpose

    Lead the telesales business as a profitable, rapidly growing and service excellence distribution function within Metropolitan Retail

    Requirements

    • Degree in Finance or Business Management
    • Should have obtained a fully completed recognized qualification listed on Board Notice 268 of 2013 to fulfil the duties of a compliant Key Individual.
    • Should have passed RE5 (Representatives) and RE1 (Key Individual) in order to fulfil the responsibilities of a compliant Key Individual and be registered at the FSB.
    • 5 years sales or life insurance distribution experience in outbound call centre environment.
    • 3 years management experience in an insurance environment.
    • Knowledge of the legislative impact on the insurance industry, life insurers and telemarketing
    • Should have a minimum of one year experience in the rendering of financial services as well as one year managerial experience overseeing the rendering of financial advice to fulfil the duties of a compliant key individual and be registered at the FSB

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Keep abreast with trends and best practices within the telesales, insurance and financial services industries in order to enhance and streamline the function.
    • Contribute to overall telesales strategic planning process.
    • Develop and oversee the implementation of operational processes and policies within the telesales environment.
    • In collaboration with the rest of the Digital team develop sales targets for the telesales environment.
    • Collaborate with sales management team to develop and implement initiatives that drive sales and client centricity.
    • Develop and oversee the implementation tactics to drive the generation of new business in line with the ethos of client centricity and legislative requirements.
    • Review regular and relevant training plans for the year on a monthly basis to ensure all employees are provided with regular training that increases performance and service delivery.
    • Drive the achievement of sales targets in line with required ratios.
    • Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
    • Contribute to sustaining a competitive edge through external networking and benchmarking and representation on related forums.
    • Define fair and innovative client service practices which build rewarding relationships, and allows team to provide exceptional client service.
    • Manage the delivery of the required volumes of quality business through the profitable sales of appropriate products to the intended client base
