Roche Diagnostics in Midrand is seeking a Head of Information Management Solutions to define and manage the execution of the Information Management Solutions (IMS) strategies for Roche Diagnostics SA in line with global and local business demand requirements and guidelines and SOPs.

Amongst other duties,your role will entail:

• Defining, developing and executing the Information Management Solutions (IMS) strategies and an execution plan for a defined period, that address business requirements and facilitate enhanced business capability in the most cost effective and implementation efficient manner.
• Ensuring all relevant administration is completed by department to effect finance cost centre activities.
• Developing and maintaining an effective stakeholder engagement partnership with the business to provide the most effective and best practice IMS to enhance their business.
• Developing and delivering effective value add diagnostics industry and business informatics solutions to the business and providing advice to internal stakeholders on the optimum use and application of IT infrastructure, IMS and related business systems.
• Providing reports or feedback to the Roche Diagnostics leadership team and global structures on the current status of IMS project implementation and that all IT/IMS changes or new systems are communicated to internal stakeholders and relevant persons trained on the systems functionality.
• Ensuring that Roche global information management systems solutions directives are implemented in accordance with business requirements, guidelines and SOPs and in line with recognized project management methodologies and liaise and work closely with Roche Global and/or EMEA IT and/or Roche Pharma structures regarding information management solutions software implementation, hardware and network requirements, and relevant support.
• Procuring local service providers to deliver on local IMS requirements using relevant business analysis and project management methodology.
• Ensuring regular IMS audits are conducted and continuously driving and ensuring implementation of agreed improvements in areas of responsibility.
• Managing the P&L and other operational costs for Department.
• Leading team members through effective recruitment, induction, skills development, performance coaching and evaluation against defined global and local KPIs and in line with HR policies and procedures and leadership commitments. Ensuring team compliance adherence to all relevant Roche guidelines and policies.

Desired Skills and Experience

You, as an ideal candidate, will have the following skills, experience and education:

Required Qualification:

Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems or Informatics (NQF level 7) is a requirement. An MBA or business management related post-graduate qualification would be an advantage.

Required Experience:

A minimum of 10 years information management solutions / IT experience and 5 years’ experience in management of IT team is required.
