An exciting Procurement Specialist position for Electrical Commodities within a global mining entity.

Drive innovation for a large portfolio within your portfolio. Lead Commodity strategies and develop cost savings plans for spend upwards of R1 Billion. Drive change within the business and ensure that procurement policies, procedures and compliance is implemented. Innovation and out of the box thinking is essential within this role.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies in line with business objectives for the various above mentioned commodities, therefore the role requires someone that has EXTENSIVELY managed one of the above mentioned commodities
• Manage and develop supplier relationships and also manage internal stakeholder relationships
• Understand and manage the commercial terms and ensure compliance to legislation, drive BBBEE strategies
• Drive cost savings and improve productivity within the procurement divisions for above the line, below the line, advertising, print and advertising agencies

Requirements:

• BCom Degree (Supply Chain/Logistics) OR BEng Electrical Engineering
• MCIPS is an added advantage
• 3 - 6 Years’ experience within Strategic Sourcing
• Experience with Electrical Commodities is a non negotiable
• Experience in developing TCO models
