Job description

The outcome of the Systems Engineer Role:

Focus on the customer and their IT problem that they are facing. The systems engineer needs to be able to assist with any issue they are experiencing with the least amount of downtime for the client.

Effective and efficient completion of a ticket (IT issue)

Assisting in effective research of issues and possible new technologies

Key Accountabilities:

• Resolving IT issues/problems of a client
• Receive a call from the client or assigned by coordinator
• Assisting Client remotely
• Resolve the issues or escalate to next tier
• Closing of ticket efficiently and effectively
• Server Maintenance: Maintenance is to be conducted for SLA client monthly. Which means a daily task will be maintenance
• Standby: Once a month be able to be on standby for after working hours for IT emergencies

Knowledge and skills:

• A+, N+
• Server 2008, Server 2012, Server 2016
• Basics of firewalls and backup solutions
• Matric Certificate and Microsoft Certificate

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years IT experience
• Client services experience
• Server Maintenance
